It is possible to create a conventional decorative well, and in some cases a classical structure is created as a basis for obtaining water from a well. In both cases, the constructed well will decorate the site.

Of course, the process of creating a well is far from the easiest, however in our case it is necessary to pay attention to the decorative component.

First of all we need a large barrel or a whole tank. Of course, the diameter of the container should be sufficient to create a real well in size. In this case, it will be necessary to dig a small pit( up to 1 m) into which the tank( barrel) is submerged. At the bottom of the pit, you also need to create a small layer of sand. After placing the container in the recess, you need to fill the emptiness with a little bit.

There should be free space on the sides of the tank. This is done so that the barrel becomes the basis for wood finishing. The foundation of the well must be protected with small logs.

The emptiness around the barrel must be filled with concrete. This is a kind of foundation that will not only create a solid foundation, but also simplify further actions related to the creation of a decorative well. The depth of the concrete base should be about 30 cm. However, the foundation should be done only in cases where the decorative well will be used only as a decoration of the landscape. If the object will perform the functions of a kind of cellar, you can pour concrete only on the outer ring around the barrel. Next, there are special racks on which it will be possible to install a decorative drum, and also to erect the roof of the well itself. Racks are also better to produce their wood. Given that the roof of the well can be heavy, the racks must have large dimensions, it is best to choose in favor of bars of solid wood.

Racks can be installed on the same surface as the pit cover, or they can be dug directly into the ground. In the second case, it should be borne in mind that the beams will have to be dug to a sufficient depth to ensure sufficient structural stability. Also, if boards are used as racks, you can simply nail them to the wood-based well. In this case, everything depends directly on the shape of the object, as well as its dimensions.

To create a drum, you need to have a large log. It is desirable, that it was really qualitatively processed. Handles for wells can easily be found in many construction stores. In advance it should be noted that as a handle, conventional fittings will not work. Here it is best to use fairly large pipes( 3-5 cm in diameter), with qualitatively curved ones.

The holes are drilled in the racks at one level so that the drum can be fixed. This part of the design can be safely fixed with nuts, since it may well be fixed.

The final stage of creating a decorative well is the erection of the roof. Most often, the owners make a choice in favor of a gable roof, since this is the simplest option. It should also be noted that the process itself is an elementary process. It is enough to create a wood frame, and from above to cover, for example, with tiles. You can also create a small canopy, which will have a minimum slope. Often in the quality of the roof is chosen the material that the roof of the private house is framed. This will create a single design of the site.

After the basic process of creating a well, care must be taken to ensure the durability of the structure. If the object was created on the basis of wood, you should immediately cover the surface with protective compounds. It can be an antiseptic or a usual varnish for a tree. Painting wood is not the best option, since the structure of the material gives naturalness to the whole well.

Other options for creating a decorative well

The above is for sure the most difficult and time consuming way of creating a decorative well. It should be noted that most people are not able to carry out the full amount of work, from the creation of the wood foundation and finishing with the erection of the roof. In this case, we will consider the simplest and most profitable way of constructing a small decorative well. Running a little forward, you can say that in the end the well should get no worse than in the previous case.

When constructing a wood well, the most difficult part of the process is the creation of a foundation. To substantially simplify the task, you must first dig a small hole again. After that, we will need to purchase a reinforced concrete ring, which is used to create full wells. Thus, we only need one ring, which will become the basis for the well. The reinforced concrete structure for a couple of tens of centimeters is immersed in the ground. After this, you can either just fill up the whole earth, or concretize it. The second option is more reliable and durable.

In the end, the concrete ring can be simply painted or stylized as a brickwork. With proper approach, everything should turn out very well.

There is also another way. In this case, the concrete ring will be used as the basis for a full brick masonry. This will create a really solid well, which will become an ornament of the whole site. Also for the design of the well, metal sheets can be used. Despite the fact that to decorate the landscape is not the most ideal option, the well will still look solid.

Metal pipes can be used as well racks. Of course, this option will not be the best way to fit into the natural environment of the suburban area, but this is actually a simple and reliable solution.

It is not necessary to create a well cap. In most cases, the object looks attractive without a lid and a drum. Very often free space inside the ring is used as a small flower bed. In this case, a small area is based in the place where the lid is installed. Here is the necessary amount of chernozem, after which you can safely plant flowers or some other plant crops.

Similarly, you can create flowerbeds around the well itself. A large number of different colors is always beautiful.

Decorative well and receiving water from well

As already mentioned, it is possible to create wells only in separate localities. In other cases, the best option is to drill a full well, which will provide the whole farm with clean water.

In this case, the construction of a classical well can be used to obtain water from a source. Of course, pumping water buckets will not work, because for these purposes a separate crane is created.

Thus, the water from the well must be introduced into the reservoir, which is located right in the soil. Then comes the decorative well itself. The void inside the large barrel( or concrete ring) will be used to locate the necessary equipment. To get water from the reservoir you need an electric pump. Accordingly, there is a need to conduct electricity directly to the well. At the top of the decorative object, no lids are required, and the assembly needs to be made with a small door to access the pump if necessary. It should be concreted the upper part of the object, so that rainwater does not get inside. In order to get water, it is enough to turn the crane lever.

In this case, it is possible to supply water directly to the dwelling, and also in parallel to the decorative well. This is an excellent solution in the case if the suburban area has a large area.
