According to this drawing, it will be possible to order board sawing in a specialized company or to do it yourself if you have the required skills.

If you want to save laminated boards you can replace a more budgetary analogue - chipboard. After assembling the design, you can decorate it at your discretion.

Polyurethane

Polyurethane products are mainly used for decorating ready-made structures. However, if you wish, all kinds of moldings, platbands and half-columns can be glued directly to the wall. Such a construction will not look like a full-fledged fireplace, however, special decorating techniques will make it profitable to beat the portal, making it look like a real fire.

For example, you can attach a mirror to the back wall of the "firebox" of such a fireplace. Thanks to this method, the depth of the "firebox" will increase. For greater effect over the portal, you can fix a wooden shelf, stylized as a fireplace.

Drywall

This material is most often used for decoration of fireplaces. Drywall is characterized by the extreme simplicity of assembly and is well combined with the most diverse finish trim. Of the sheet material, you can make out spatial forms of almost any complexity. At the same time, the cost of drywall makes it affordable for a wide range of customers.

The construction of the sheets requires mandatory finishing. But this is rather an advantage of the material, and not its disadvantage - over time, the veneer can be changed without deconstructing, at the same time, the decorative portal itself.

The manual for the independent design of the falsh-fireplace will be examined using the example of sheet drywall.

The first stage - the preparation of tools and materials

Start with the preparation of the kit for work. First of all, you will need the drywall itself. When choosing the material, be guided by the features of the chosen finish lining. If tiling is planned, it is better to buy a moisture resistant modification of drywall.

Next, purchase the rack and guide profiles. Of these, the frame of the fireplace will be assembled.

For fastening the frame elements, buy self-tapping screws. The recommended length of fasteners is 1.4-1.6 cm. You also need to buy self-tapping screws with a countersunk head to fix the sheets. In addition, you need to purchase dowels-nails for fixing the profiles to the floor and walls.

Next, be guided by the features of the selected finish finishes. If you are going to cover the portal with wallpaper or paint it, get a primer and putty. If the false fireplace is tiled, buy tile glue and grout for seams.

The necessary quantity of materials is chosen individually taking into account the dimensions of the future decorative fireplace. The structure of plasterboard can have a wide variety of sizes. When choosing a particular option, be guided by the available space and personal preferences.

Second stage - assembling the frame

The first step. Apply markings on the walls and floor to install profiles. Work according to the drawing. Place the tags taking into account the chosen sizes of the fireplace.

The second step. Secure the guides to the applied lines. If fixing is to the concrete surface, first attach the profile to the base, drill the holes in the markings, insert the dowels in them and then fix the guides.

The third step. Install the racks in the guides. Fasten the products with self-tapping screws.

Before mounting the profiles, it is recommended to check the evenness of the wall with a plumb line. If a deviation is detected, fix the guides using straight hangers. These products will allow the installation of products strictly vertically.

First, assemble the frame for the entire structure, after - for the portal with a groove for the "furnace".To make the base more rigid, connect the long horizontal profiles and vertical racks with additional bridges.

If you want, you can give the top opening a shape. To do this, it is enough to carefully cut the stiffeners of the mounting profile and bend the product in accordance with its idea.

The third stage - facing the plasterboard with gypsum board

Mark the sheet according to the size of the fireplace and cut out the necessary details. For cutting the material, it is most convenient to use an electric jig saw. In the absence of such cut with a simple wallpaper knife. In this case, you will first need to cut the cardboard layer from one side of the sheet, gently break the plate, and then cut the second layer of cardboard.

Fix the cladding elements on the frame. Screw the screws into the material so that their hats are slightly recessed. The recommended step of placing the fasteners is 100-150 mm.

With sheet fastening, there should be no problems. Even without this experience, you will be able to cope with the plating. Remember only that drywall is a relatively fragile material, so try not to drop it and do not put too much pressure on the screwdriver when screwing the fasteners.

The fourth stage is the finish trim

You will only finish the carcass with sheets of gypsum board. When choosing the option of decoration, focus, first of all, on the design of the room as a whole.

Most often, artificial stone, decorative brick and ceramic tiles are used for facing false fireplaces from plasterboard. To fix the elements of decoration, tile glue or liquid nails are used. When making the facing with the use of tiles of the correct form, lay them with the same gaps. For their registration use special plastic crosses.

The finish of brick or stone is unlikely to fit into a modern interior. In this situation, it is best to use paint or decorative plaster to finish the fireplace. Preliminary surface must be carefully treated with putty, sealing the joints between the elements of the skin and eliminating any kind of irregularities. After puttying, the surfaces are additionally sanded with sandpaper.

Otherwise, when choosing the option of finishing finish, be guided by your taste preferences.

In the end, you will have to install in the opening of the "firebox" electric fireplace or else to free space at your discretion. For example, instead of installing an electric fireplace, you can equip the fireplace with warm and soft lighting - a great option for a classic interior. A more modern and bold solution is the design of the "firebox" using a multi-colored LED strip.

You can use a mirror to decorate the rear wall of the furnace. Attach it to the surface, and lay the bottom of the furnace with decorative logs or other material, for example, seashells and pebbles.

Having installed several candles of different shape and size into the furnace, you will create a real fire in your fireplace.
