Site preparation

Formwork and reinforcement

Now create the formwork of a monolithic foundation and proceed to install the reinforcement.

The valve must be installed in the form of a grid or grid. The thickness of the rods depends on the severity of the future house. For a typical private house, rods with a diameter of 12 mm are used on average. The distance between the rods should be approximately 10 cm.

Concreting of the solid foundation

Concrete must be poured evenly without leaving any empty spaces( in the future, such defects can lead to rapid destruction of the foundation).To compact the concrete use a vibrator.

The process is fairly simple and nothing special. After the concrete was poured it must be left for one day, after which it should be moistened( not to crack or break down).

Note: Before beginning the next phase of construction( house erection), do not forget to cover the basement with polyethylene film to protect it from a low temperature.
