Wall siding makes it possible to level uneven walls and hide all kinds of defects; heat and sound insulation material is placed between the wall and the lining, it protects the surface of the structure from atmospheric influences and performs decorative functions.
Siding for walls is wood paneling imitating panels that serve for facing facades of buildings and their cornices. They can be made of wear-resistant materials, such as metal or polyvinylchloride compounds. In the first case, they are called the siding of metal or steel lining, in the second - vinyl siding or plastic lining.

If the project provides for thermal insulation, it should be installed. Fastening the siding to the wall - the sequence of the work
First of all, let's outline the bottom line of the siding installation, by 4 cm above the lowest point along the perimeter of the building we make a note and on it we will cut off the horizontal line around the whole structure with a chalk cord. On this line we cut the starting profile with the top edge, in case of unevenness of the wall under it we put a gasket.
The second starting profile horizontally nailed with a gap of 6 mm - thus, there remains room for compensation of thermal expansion. At 6 mm below the level of the starting workpiece, we set the outer and inner corner profiles. On the perimeter of the door and window openings we fix the J-strips.
Special mention should be made of the need to fasten the profiles to the center of the mounting holes, so that the siding of the walls will receive a free stroke during thermal expansion. The first panel is placed horizontally on the starting profile and it is nailed to the crate.
It is desirable that the docking points of the panels are as far as possible from the doors and windows. Installation of panels should start from the specified objects along the wall. To connect the panels in the horizontal direction, use the H-profile, which conceals the connection points.
For mounting the siding in height, there is a special lock on it. Panels can be assembled into panels of any height and length. To fix the last row under the cornice, we beat the finish rail.
When installing siding around doors and windows, it is trimmed taking into account the same 6 mm gap for possible expansion. To determine the cutting angle of the panel when installing it on the fronts of the building, we use two pieces of siding.
One of them we connect the lock to the bottom panel and we move close to the roof slope. The second segment is applied to the ramp by an edge in such a way that its opposite edge intersects the entire surface of the first segment. Here along this line of intersection and make a cut that will exactly match the angle of the roof slope.
