Choosing a boiler
Polyethylene constructions are not particularly difficult to install in contrast to steel analogues. The owner does not need to have a welding machine and own welding technology. The connection of polyethylene products is much easier. To do this, there are fittings and unified parts that will ensure the tightness of the connection. And in the event that welding is still required, then even a beginner can master this technology.
The pipe for the heating boiler is made by the method of molecular cross-linking of the material, due to which high-strength pipes are obtained, resistant to mechanical stresses, temperature changes, and heat-resistant pipes. Thanks to these unsurpassed qualities, pipes from this material have found acceptance among builders and private developers.
Heating in a private house everyone tries to make the most comfortable, installing radiators, infrared heating, warm floors, and sometimes combining all possible elements. Moreover, for warm floors you can again use polyethylene pipes or electric mats.
But, the main thing in the arrangement of heating is the initial design with the location of the boiler, pipes and radiators, the method of connection, wiring diagrams and much more. In addition, the project should be provided with heat engineering calculation, which is the basis for choosing the diameter of the pipes, the slope of the heating pipes, the number of heating appliances, the velocity of the coolant and its temperature extremes.
Pipes and circuits are right and good, but the heart of the heating system will always be a boiler. It can be one- and two-circuit. What is the difference between them? Everything is simple - one-circuit is needed only for heating the room by connecting radiators to it, and the two-circuit besides the heating functions still acts as a water heater for hot water supply like a boiler.
Boilers can function from different fuels:
- electricity;
- gas;
- liquid and solid fuel;
- combined fuel.
In any case, no matter which boiler is chosen, it will still leave metal pipes from it, to which polyethylene pipes can be connected in the future.
Advantages of polyethylene heating pipes
The main advantage is the low price, which allows to reduce the cost of construction. In addition to this advantage, polyethylene pipes have a number of other important advantages:
- is not susceptible to corrosion;
- pipes have a long service life;
- does not need cathodic protection;
- does not debug fat stores, so the diameter of the pipe does not narrow;
- with the use of plastic pipes reduces heat loss due to low thermal conductivity;
- the probability of destruction of the plastic pipe when freezing inside the liquid is lower than that of the metal analogs;
- low weight of products makes installation less labor-consuming.
- have excellent soundproofing properties - almost no noise is heard from the water running inside them;
- service life up to 50 years;
- are hygienic and environmentally friendly;
- is completely sealed and eliminates leaks;
- perfectly grasp with concrete, which makes it possible to arrange hidden wiring and not to spoil the interior design.
- uses a minimum of connections for installation, which increases the strength of the structure.
