How to seal an introductory machine in a dashboard: video, photos, methods

According to the PUE, at the entrance to the house, it is necessary to install protection switching devices. It does not matter what will be chosen as the input device, whether a switch with fuses, a load switch or packet switch, difavtomat or circuit breaker, but electrical energy metering devices must be reliable protected. Thus, one of them must be installed in front of the electric meter. In order not to go into the jungle with the choice of the desired device, we will focus on the circuit breaker. However, it should be remembered that whatever our choice, any of the devices is subject to sealing. With the help of what and how to seal the input machine in the dashboard will be discussed further. The order in which the methods will be located is conditional, and does not depend on the ease of filling, since each of them has its pros and cons.

Use of stickers

Sealing the circuit breaker with a sticker seal is one of the most affordable, quick and simple options. Judge for yourself, such a sticker consists of two layers, one of which is an adhesive base, and the second is actually a seal. At any attempt of illegal withdrawal, the message "opened" will appear.

Plastic box

Such a box is made of a self-extinguishing polymer and will not only allow sealing the input machine, but also protect against theft of electricity, as well as against unauthorized access to the terminals of the device. It is made in the form of a box and is intended for a separate installation from the metering device. It also has stamped holes for connecting wires, which are very easy to break out in a place convenient for installation.

It is a two-piece drop-down box. In addition to being installed separately from the meter outside the modular cabinet, the boxes can be designed to be installed inside it on DIN rail.

Let's consider a box for a separate installation. Inside, it is equipped with a DIN rail, on which the introductory machine is mounted. To seal it, it is necessary to fix the mating part of the box on top, after which the seals are threaded into the holes.

The box for indoor installation looks like this:

It also has two parts. The sealing principle is exactly the same as in the previous case. There is no fundamental difference in the two versions, but it is still better to place the input machine inside the dashboard next to the meter. Such an installation will be more expedient and convenient.

Plastic plugs

The next way to seal the input circuit breaker is with plastic plugs. They are the newest method and provide, in addition to protection against theft, also protection against electric shock. They are made of special non-combustible plastic and structurally consist of two parts, which are combined to form a plug. In the photo below, you can see what such a filling looks like:Seal

As you can see, it is disassembled. Let's look at how you can seal the introductory machine with its help in a little more detail. The plug consists of two halves. First, you need to insert the first part of the plug into a special place in the vending machine (in the photo it is the bottom one). Then the second half is installed in it, which, as it were, expands the plug inside the machine, thus ensuring its reliable fixation in the case.

Further, a seal is installed in the hole of the plug. Moreover, the sealing can be performed not only with the help of traditional wire and a squeeze seal. You can also apply a plastic disposable seal.

It should be noted that not all machines can be sealed in this way. The fact is that the previously produced models did not yet have special slots for fixing the plugs. Be careful when choosing this method and look for an existing or newly purchased circuit breaker.

Sealing with a shield

Using this method allows you to seal the introductory machine in the shortest possible time. All switching devices, as well as the metering device, are closed with one common shield, which is already directly sealed.

It would seem that everything is fine, you can easily and fairly quickly seal AB. However, imagine a situation when you need to quickly replace a single unit, not necessarily the machine itself. That's right, in order to get to it, you will have to break the seal of the entire shield. Is it legal? Obviously not. It is necessary to call a representative of Energosbyt to unseal the entire cabinet, and this entails a loss of time and money.

Use of SCHUR (distribution board)

Unlike a general shield, SCHUR allows you to selectively seal. That is, if you need to seal exactly the introductory machine, as in our case, then the required SCHUR is selected with suitable cutouts in the shield for the machine. Thus, we get an obvious advantage over the common shield.SCHRU

Finally, we advise you to watch the video, which clearly demonstrates the existing methods of sealing the circuit breaker:
