What kind of load will an aluminum cable withstand for 10 square meters? mm?

Alexander asks:

Good day, there is little knowledge in electrical engineering, so I want to ask the experts. The situation is as follows: at the site you need to connect the wire to the cable. Power cable aluminum, 2x10, copper stranded 2x6 was connected to it with "nuts", length is about 20 meters. We assembled a shield consisting of a 20A difavtomat and a 16A socket.

A welding machine max 32A will be connected directly to the shield, but the grinder is not used at the maximum, I do not know the power, the circle is 250.
There is a fear that there may be a heating of the wire after the machine, especially at the docking point and, as a result, its fire, we are also afraid that the cable itself may heat up. The whole structure passes through the change houses, so this would be extremely undesirable.

The question is, to what extent will the difavtomat protect against this and can the fears be confirmed?

And also what needs to be done to eliminate this, in case mistakes are made.
The shield has already been brought and delivered, and the budget is not at all big.

Welding and grinder will be used for a total of 6-7 hours per day.

Hello! It's not entirely clear, you write that a welding one will be connected, which will consume up to 32A, but also wrote that there are 20A and 16A machines, how is that?

In general, if the total consumption does not exceed 32A, then this cable will be enough and it should not warm up. An aluminum cable with a cross section of 10 mm² can withstand a current of up to 60A when laid open (not in a pipe or box or something similar) according to table 1.3.5 of Chapter 1.3. PUE. You should be guided by this current, but you should not put the machine on more than 50A. Let there be a current margin.

Do not forget to cover the cable line with something if you have it under the sun so that the insulation does not deteriorate. In order not to heat the joint, make it normal, that is, either with a sleeve, or by welding, or with some kind of coupling.

The difavtomat will protect both from overload (short circuits) and from leakage currents to the ground (if there is good contact with it).
