To install the frame, you need to make a lot of mounting holes, so you should not save. And you also don’t need to try to replace the puncher with a percussion drill: its impact function is optional, it is not designed for heavy loads and can quickly fail.

• A drill may be required for drilling. It all depends on the type and characteristics of the base.
• In most cases, profiles are connected to each other using self-tapping screws for metal. A screwdriver will help to quickly and easily wrap them.

To speed up the process, you can use a special nozzle on a screwdriver for automatic feeding of screws.

• A grinder (aka angle grinder) is needed to cut off pieces of the profile. Its analogue may be a metal saw.

The hand tool for drywall profile is a bit more:

1. A hammer is needed to drive dowels into the mounting holes in the walls and on the ceiling and floor. You need to choose a comfortable and moderately heavy model. Usually, good craftsmen at home have even a few hammers.
2. Scissors for metal are necessary for cutting profiles.
3. A saw for metal with a diamond blade can become an analogue of a grinder, if one is not at hand, it can also be cut into sections of pieces of the required length. But it will take much more time and energy, therefore, with large volumes of work, it is better to stop on a power tool.
4. Notch They are used for connecting profiles to each other, as well as for punching technological holes in profiles and partitions (for example, for laying wires). This tool for working with drywall is only gaining popularity.
5. Using special pliers, you can connect 2 profiles with rivets. This method is also used infrequently, so you should not be puzzled by the search and purchase of such ticks for an amateur home master.

GCR also require specific treatment. It is unlikely that anyone will be so lucky that the whole frame is closed with whole sheets. Most likely, drywall will have to be cut, leveled, chamfered, etc.

• The fret saw is the main tool for figured cutting of drywall. With its help, you can make a wave, zigzag or any other geometric (and not only) figure from GKL, while the edge will be smooth and will not crumble.
• You can cut in a straight line with a jigsaw or a drywall knife. A painting knife is also suitable, the most important thing is that it is sharp and strong and can cut through thick cardboard. It is advisable to make a cut not by hand, but along a drawn line (it is better to even attach a ruler so that the knife goes smoothly).

• Edge and peeling planers will be needed for the final processing of drywall blanks: edge alignment, edge trimming, chamfering.
• You can make small holes for the wires using a drill with a special nozzle-crown on drywall.
• A drywall needle roller is used when a sheet needs to be curved, for example to create an arch. GCR is abundantly moistened and rolled with a needle roller so that moisture quickly penetrates the surface and penetrates inside, and drywall becomes pliable and does not break.

Tool for attaching GKL to the frame

In this case, not so much will be needed: a screwdriver with suitable bits and self-tapping screws for drywall. It will be more convenient and faster to work if you buy a nozzle for automatic feeding of screws.

Tip. It makes sense to pay attention to special bits with delimiters that will not allow you to drag self-tapping screws.

Hats are not always flush with the surface of the drywall or a little deeper. To finally bring the screws to perfect condition, they need to be pulled in places manually, for this you need a screwdriver.
