Procedure for assembling the door

All door welding operations are performed in the following order:

The opening is measured taking into account the clearance from the bottom of 7 cm. The accuracy of the measurement will allow calculating the exact amount of metal necessary for the production of the gate. It should be remembered that in addition to sheet metal, profile pipes with a wall thickness of 1.5-2 mm will be required. If the width of the gate is 4 m and their height is 2 m, then it will take 22-23 m of a profile of 60 × 40 mm and 15-16 m of a profile of 40 × 20 mm.

goal

For the manufacture of a fastening frame consisting of an outer and an inner frame, cut the blanks of the required size from the corners of 65 × 65 mm. Cut the sheets and pipes according to the dimensions. Blanks lay out on a horizontal surface, trying to place them in the same plane.

When assembling the frame, make sure that all corners are perfectly straight. In the frame it is necessary to use a tubular profile of 60 × 40 mm. Preliminary to weld all the previously mentioned details and completely fold the gate on a flat surface in order to check the correctness of the assembly, identify defects and eliminate them.

Perform final welding. If the height of the gate is large, then stiffeners must be welded to them. For the gate to fit well to the frame, it is necessary to ensure the smoothness of the welds.

Secure the door trim for the garage. To do this, the metal canvas should be cut in accordance with the size of the future flaps. Since the right sash should be overlapped on the left, the right lining should be 2-3 cm wider than the left one. To ensure that the parts do not move relative to each other, the sheets in the middle and at the corners must be welded to the box. At the end of the work these points can be cut off.

During the welding of the hinges, their upper part should be fixed to the leaf and the lower part to the frame. After completing all these works, you need to install locks and paint the gate.
