Fire chopper
The fire unit for metal cutting resembles an acetylene generator, but has its own differences. To maintain a high temperature of the fire stream, atmospheric oxygen and gasoline are used. Both these elements are pumped to the point of their exit through different hoses by means of a powerful pump and ignited. When cutting, the metal is heated, and then - its separation in the right place.
The fire brigade has advantages over an acetylene generator in terms of greater cheapness and availability of materials for work. Oxygen is taken from the atmosphere, and gasoline can be purchased at any gas station.
Sometimes it's not gasoline, but kerosene. However, the gasoline carver has the best performance in work. This is characterized by a greater temperature of the cutting core, and also in the best vapor production. Such a device is practical in operation and its use is possible at low temperatures up to -20 degrees Celsius.
You can also find two-circuit fire cutters. The core of the flame is created by ignition of gasoline and acetylene. Such gasoline cutters have a combined structure with acetylene generators. They are used to save fuel.
Disk chopper
A similar name with this firebox was obtained by the petrol cut due to the inherent in the design of the gasoline engine. This device has more power than instruments such as the Bulgarian, metal carvers or end saws. This product can saw such materials as stone, asphalt, cast iron, marble elements. One of the main advantages is a high depth of cut, which is 30-40 cm. These devices can be equipped with a water cooling system.
The design of such an assembly consists of several elements:
- petrol engine;
- cutting blade;
- handle;
- cooling system depending on the design;
- sometimes comes with a trolley for easy transportation.
Gasoline cutters without a cooling system are cheaper, but have a number of drawbacks that pop up in the process. They are:
- impossibility of long-term operation due to rapid heating of the disk;
- large amount of waste dust;
- rapid wear of the cutting blade.
Disc Gas Cutters have separate models for specific purposes. They are:
- shtoborez. This device is made in a design that allows you to cut out depressions of the necessary depth in the walls;
- rail cutter. The product is equipped with a special holder, with which you can easily fix the device on the rail;
- model with chrome-plated casing for working in conditions of reduced visibility, as well as for deconstruction of blockages during rescue operations.
Features of a choice of a gasoline cutter
First of all it is necessary to hold the device in hands in order to assess the convenience of working with it. The chopper has a lot of weight and is very dangerous in operation. To distribute the load, you can use special belts.
When a material is cut with a disc gasoline cutter, a large amount of dust is released. This is especially true when working with a material such as concrete. Therefore, the engine of the unit must have a two-level filter to prevent blockages and breakdowns. It is also worth paying attention to the presence of protection of the cutting operator from the gases emitted by the engine during operation.
Working with a gasoline cutter for the first time using
Before you start working with a new tool, it is worthwhile to run it. The methods of carrying out this process can be found in the instruction manual.
First of all you should start the unit at idle. Before doing so, check the strength of the cutting blade attachment. This condition should be taken very seriously, since a disk failure can lead to significant injuries.
During cutting it is better to hold the gasoline cutter at a right angle to the work material. Even with a slight deviation, damage or disruption of the disc may occur.
Check the air filter. After each use it must be washed in soapy water and allowed to dry. The gasoline filter needs to be replaced once in a decade.
When setting the device for long-term storage, it is necessary to clean all the filters, drain the gasoline from the tank and place the tool in a dry room.
