Why do we need storage trolleys and what are they?
Suppose you went to the warehouse of a wholesale store to get there a few sacks of mineral fertilizers, seeds and a box of containers for vertical gardening. How do you put all this to the car if it is not possible to enter it deep into the warehouse? Of course, you should be provided with a choice of warehouse trolleys, with which either you or the store employee will move all of the items you selected to the exit.
So, what options can you offer? Warehouse trucks, two-wheeled can sometimes turn into a platform modification, they are very convenient for the simple reason that, while not needed, can be stored in a compact state. In the working position, they are extremely maneuverable, but not very capacious.
Conventional warehouse platform trolleys are capable of transporting up to a ton of cargo, but their maneuverability is very mediocre, especially when it is necessary to turn at the intersection of narrow aisles. In such places, forklifts are more appropriate than forklifts, capable not only of moving cargo, but also lifting it to a height of up to one and a half meters, some modifications are able, among other things, to weigh the cargo. There are also self-propelled models.
Trolleys for warehouse - from simple to complex
Wherever a heavy truck does not pass, an ordinary trolley will easily slip through. Moreover, small models are used even for unloading those same trucks, for which the workers roll up the trucks for the warehouse directly into the closed bodies of the trucks by special ladders, fill the platforms and roll them back into the room to the shelves. The same happens when unloading cars. In open areas more often used hydraulic trolleys are storage, represented by self-propelled models.
Motorized carts come in three types, with a control handle, with a remote control and with a platform for the operator.
It is very important to pay attention to the flooring of the warehouse and the paving of open areas. If it is asphalt or concrete pouring over which any storage equipment will move smoothly, the trolleys can be equipped with small wheels with roller bearings. For tile coating, it is better to use bigger wheels and ball bearings.
In warehouses with possible corrosive media, such as salts and chemicals, it is more appropriate to use a polyurethane coating or solid cast wheels made of this material. Wherever shocks and strong shaking are possible, an indispensable rubber or rubber coating. For rail travel only all-metal wheels are used.
Trolley for warehouse and workshop
A very large warehouse can be equipped with a small bridge crane and rails along the entire premises. In this case, not only the rail truck is used, but also conventional, perhaps even self-propelled, task which is to unload the central platform. Often, the track is outside the warehouse, which allows loading or unloading the platform in the immediate vicinity of the freight transport.
By the way, there are also warehouses in the workshops, both with raw materials and for finished products, and the shop trolley is an indispensable attribute, without which the entire production process would become much more complicated. On such a platform, moving from the end to the end of the shop floor or along the closed rail tracks, raw materials are simultaneously delivered and the products received from it are exported.
It is often necessary to connect two or more production lines to the rails, and then the inter-shop trolley is used, the platform of which must have a sufficiently large area for servicing all workshops. For example, welded metal trusses come first to the secondary processing shop where they are ground and supplemented with the necessary details on the bolted joint, and then the truck carries the structures to the paint shop. Such bundles are found not only in production, but also in warehouses.
