Single-phase network 220 V
In apartments and private housesmost often an outdated version of electrical wiring is used - with one phase. In this case, the rated voltage is 220 V, therefore a bipolar product is necessary. As for the connection scheme for the Difa Automaton, it can be presented in two versions. The first is when the protection is installed only after the electricity meter, serving all household wiring.
In this case, when the automation is activated and deactivated, it will be more difficult to find the cause of the failure, so it is advisable to give priority to the second, more reliable option.
The correct scheme for connecting a dif-automaton in a single-phase network:
As you can see, each group of wires is mounted on a separate product. If one diffractometer works, the second will continue to function.
Three-phase network 380 V
The only important difference between the 3-phase network is that instead of a single phase conductor, three phases are immediately available at the input: L1, L2, L3.In this case, it is necessary to use a 4-pole, 380V Diafi-automat, the connection scheme of which will look like this:
This option can be used in a new house, or rather a cottage that must withstand a high current load from electrical appliances. Also, this option is sometimes used when installing electrical wiring in the garage, tk. Here, powerful welding machines, compressors and other electrical equipment can be used.
Without grounding
All the previous schemes for connecting the differential automaton were grounded, now I would like to provide an outdated model that uses a two-wire network of 220V.
It is necessary to connect the non-earth without the earth according to the following scheme:
This type of wiring can be seen in old houses of panel type. It is extremely unsafe and, therefore, we recommend replacing the wiring in the house with a new one, with a grounding contact.
We recommend also viewing existing connection options on video reviews:
That's all I wanted to tell about this topic. We advise you to use differential automata only from popular manufacturers: abb, legrand, IEK and Schneider electric, so that the protection lasts long, and most importantly - on conscience.
