Now we can state with all responsibility - the fashion for huge living rooms and studio apartments, has passed, and now no progressive interior designer will undertake to design the huge, unoccupied spaces that so proud owners of large, many hundreds of meters of apartments.
In the new trends in the design of living rooms, not even minimalism prevails, but rather the image of a "virtual apartment", when in one large and spacious( often multi-level) room several autonomous, narrow specialization zones are added at once.
Such autonomy is often rather conditional, and sometimes even purely visual, but this is the highlight of this style, which initially offers you to get rid of any walls, replacing them with turned backs to the space of the rest of the living room chairs, dining table, maximumdisplaced from the center of the room, and sometimes a small carpet laid on the floor, whose rectangle delineates the area you have selected.
Also, a great way to separate one zone from another is greens, artificial and live. Spaced directly on the floor or placed on special supports, it will not only give the comfort of a huge living room, but also create a feeling of some alcove, especially if you put a sofa or chairs close to it.
It should be noted that the specialized zones can be completely different in their purpose. It can be a tiny space near the fireplace where you will read lying on a thick and soft carpet, maybe a small "smoking lounge" or a cinema - a sofa set in front of the TV.You can put a rocking chair in the corner, or place a small bar. In addition, the effect of dividing the space can also be achieved by changing the geometry of the ceilings. If we abandon the usual flat surfaces, giving the ceiling not just complex shapes, but the appearance of geometric installations, highlighting or painting various parts of it in different colors, this will definitely emphasize the visual privacy of each hotel room part, making you feel in a genuine virtual living room,with his "hallway", "hall", "cabinet" and "rest room".
But windows with such a conceptual solution are given more than a secondary place: they are either made small - small windows in a small room, or draped with curtains and curtains so that they are almost not conspicuous. The role of windows is often played by paintings or various reflective surfaces, examples of which you can find in the presented photos.
And one more thing - from the usual high doors carved from the road, with obligatory gilding of handles, it is also decided to refuse. Now they are replaced by spacious arched passages, not repeated in size and shape, and therefore creating the individuality of each individual part of your home.
