Tools for self-pouring floors

Preliminaryactions with the floor surface. Step 1. Waterproofing work of

Before proceeding to pouring, the floor must be brought to the proper state. Remove all debris, dust, dirt and chipping pieces of the surface. Then conduct a waterproofing, which can be carried out with a roofing felt or a roll-on waterproofing. In extreme cases, you can apply polyethylene film. The waterproofing material is untwisted on the floor so that the joints overlap by 15 cm. The places near the walls also should be lapped, and then put on them mastic.

Over the waterproofing it is possible to install a heat-insulating material, which can be:

  • perlite;
  • expanded polystyrene;
  • polystyrene foam;
  • expanded clay;
  • basalt wool.

Step 2. Floor leveling with

beacons In order for the floor level to be equally level for the entire surface, it is necessary to set the beacons with a metal profile and a solution of cement and sand. Take the building level and measure the floor surface, then put the first guide. It will consist of a straight profile and a small amount of a constricting compound.

From the first guide at a distance of half a meter from each other put the following, and that the profile was non-rubbing, under it you need to apply the composition of the alabaster, the sand-cement mixture and the primer.

We fill the floor with our own hands. Step 1. Screed surface of the floor

For screed use moistened expanded clay, which spread over the entire area of the same layer. Then it is ground and left for several hours, so that the surface is completely dry and ready for application of the next layer.

For self-preparation of the composition, which you can pour the floor, you need to buy one of their dry mixes to choose from:

  • self-leveling;
  • sand and cement;
  • evening.

The listed mixtures are diluted with water of temperature from 17-25 ° in the proportions indicated on the package. To do this, take the pelvis, which will fit the mixture, water, mixer and mix the composition.

Important! When you stir the mixture, make sure that no lumps remain, and the resulting composition has reached a consistency, like sour cream. In addition, it is better to mix the mixture a second time, after 10 minutes, so that the mass becomes homogeneous, and all the components have absorbed water, because excess water can degrade the strength of the composition layer and provoke cracks.

Once the mixing is completed, the composition will be usable for two hours.

Next, you need to prepare a sand-cement mixture. Homogeneous mass can be created by dilution with water. Then pour it into the gap between the guides from the last corner, smoothing with special smoothers or a wide spatula. The composition is distributed as a rule perfectly evenly along the guides. The drying time of the room at the end of the work is at least 8 hours. If the drying or excessive humidity of the room is too rapid, the screed may form cracks and other deformations. Eliminate them by moistening the sponge with water and walking it over the surface.

Step 2. Filling the surface of the floor

Absolute drying of the screed comes in 1-2 days, then you can start to flood the floor. The polymer mixture is brought to the consistency of thick yogurt and poured on the floor by 5 cm, driving out air bubbles with a studded roller. Be sure to distribute the mixture as evenly as possible.

Fill the floor with a mixture

The drying time of the floor depends on the humidity in the room and the air temperature, which either increase or decrease the drying speed. So, for example, at a temperature of +21 ° it will be possible to walk on the floor after 7-8 hours, but with a lower temperature, the drying time is several times greater.

Important! The choice of the next floor covering( parquet, linoleum, etc.) should correspond to the level of humidity allowed for the surface and the room as a whole.
