"Career" growth of linden as sawn timber
Lipa is a very revered and beloved domestic variety of wood, which has long been actively used in the national economy. Our ancestors also understood that this is a real "storehouse" of usefulness, therefore:
- from its inflorescences prepared curative teas and decoctions;
- linden bark used for shoe making;
- cut out toys, kitchen and household utensils from the tree trunk;
- from linden fibers wove sponges, ropes, harness and even clothes.
Peasants folded lime logs prepared in summer under the roof visor and dried them up to winter. Closer to the cold, the blanks were covered with a black crust, but as soon as they fell into the hands of the master, they were transformed and pleased with the eye with a gentle white color with a slight pink tinge.
It is such a comprehensive use of lime by medieval peasants and made our contemporaries first of all use it as raw material for the production of modern sawn timber. The wisdom of the people accumulated over the centuries has not failed. Now the linden pile sheet is one of the most popular products on the domestic wooden market.
What is good for a builder of this board?
If you want to buy good lumber, the lime tree perfectly suits this honorable role, because it:
- It is easy to process. This kind of wood is unusually soft in the work, from it you can make products of any complexity.
- Has a homogeneous wood structure. The age-old linden rings are so dense that when they are radially cut, they are not even immediately visible, and you will notice that if you look closely, you can see a thin merging pattern of fibers.
- Has a beautiful and noble color. The wood is painted in a rich milky color with a pink tint. The older the tree, the stronger the reddish hue with a gently golden "additive", which is very reminiscent of its coloring valuable wood species( for example, walnut).
- Durable and lightweight. Soft in work, the lime grows into a solid, strong "stone" after drying, which increases the credibility of the lumber in the eyes of the manufacturers of wooden products.
- Bending and hardy. It is well bent and polished, which is very actively used in the manufacture of complex wooden structures.
- Resistant to moisture. Due to the maximum density, the wood in this grade is poorly absorbed by water, it is better protected by nature from decay and bioataks.
Young plants aged 60-80 years old are suitable for processing, at a time when the average life expectancy of a tree of this variety is 400-500 years. There are, of course, in nature and solid lime-longevity, whose age is over a thousand years, but they, of course, are not cut down, but carefully guarded.
Lime board - the best sauna "toiler"
The lime board hides in itself some more features which, in fact, played a crucial role in determining its main application. The composition of wood contains a small amount of resinous substances, due to its high density, the material slowly heats up under the influence of high temperatures and long remains cool to the touch. It is these qualities that should be owned by a good board for a bath.
The lumber is used for the manufacture of seats( shelves) in the therma, where, under extreme climatic conditions, the linden demonstrates its natural endurance and stability to the greatest extent. Sweat, dirt and water practically do not absorb wood, and the absence of knots and other flaws makes it a convenient and safe "contactor" with bare human skin.
It is known that each tree has its own energy karma. So, the linden tree is our natural "battery": the lumber positively influences the person's well-being, adjusts to positive, invigorates and removes all negative for the day. In addition, after warming up, the wood exudes a pleasant, persistent fragrance. Having visited the bathhouse, completely lined with a lime board, you feel a special surge of physical strength.
