Make a concrete mixer yourself - is it difficult?

Concrete mixer is a device designed for mixing cement, water, sand and other fillers. The result of this mixing is the concrete used for pouring the foundation, floor screeds and other works.

There is nothing complicated in the arrangement of this mechanism. It consists of a mixing tank, an axis of rotation, an engine and a base on which a concrete mixer is firmly mounted. Inside the container, small blades can be placed to better mix the ingredients.

And if nothing complicated is expected, then you can try to make a concrete mixer from the things available in the farm: so you can save considerable money and produce a truly useful tool that will be useful to every owner, both for construction and for repair.

Homemade concrete mixer - we prepare the tool and materials

Before proceeding to the independent manufacture of a concrete mixer, you need to prepare: collect all the necessary tools and materials. Manufacturing is not complicated and no special tools are required for this, and if you fasten all the fastenings on bolts, you do not even need welding.

You will need a screwdriver, a key, a drill with drills and a hacksaw for metal. As a reservoir you can, for example, choose a conventional metal barrel with a capacity of up to 200 liters. It is desirable that the bottom of it on one side is completely non-removable.

The basis can be built from a metal corner, instead of an engine, use a motoblock, gasoline engine or a conventional 1300 W drill mixer. Wherever the lid in the barrel is located( for example, on its side, and not at the bottom) it should be hermetically sealed( as far as possible).

Before you make a self-made concrete mixer, you need to prepare all the material and determine what mechanism you need: stationary or mobile, with a metal barrel or plastic. It is advisable to consider all the other nuances before the beginning of the work, and it is better, of course, to make the necessary records and drawings. On how exactly the self-made concrete mixer is going to be assembled, the manufacturing manual, will be described in detail in the article.

How to make a self-made concrete mixer - the stages of the

operation After all the materials are collected, it's time to start assembling the mechanism. To begin with, it is necessary to make a solid and stable basis.

It is made from a sufficiently strong corner, since the weight of the device with concrete inside can be considerable. To do this, you can use welding or to fasten parts of the structure to each other using bolts of large diameter.

If you are considering how to make a concrete mixer yourself, then even a simple barrel can save, only it is necessary to provide a reliable fastening for such a tank. It must be arranged so that the barrel is at an angle of 35 degrees from the vertical. The drive can be either manual or electric. Next to the frame, you need to fasten the reducer, to which the engine is then installed, and the mixing tank.

Special vanes can be installed inside the container, which will mix the mixture. Then on the reducer( the big pulley) the barrel is fixed, and instead of the small pulley there is a pinion. The engine is attached to the bracket on the body.

Further from the armature, the handle is made and fastened to the bottom of the body of the bracket. Fastening on strong bolts is, of course, good, but it is better to use welding.
