Cut a small piece of cloth, measure its dimensions, wet it with water and dry it. After drying, we again make measurements by comparing the readings and ascertaining the degree of shrinkage. If the value is large, then the entire tissue cut before the decoration is also wetted and left to dry.

Please note! You can use not only a single piece of fabric, but also cut fragments of different colors and textures. This technique is called "patchwork" and is often used by designers in the design of premises.

The best case for the fabric is glue casein, composition based on CMC, as well as mastics "Bustilat" or "Gumilax".We put the adhesive on the fabric and apply it to the door, smoothing with a spatula. When gluing the door with fragments it is important to keep track of their geometricity, otherwise the work will look messy.

Liquid wallpaper

Liquid wallpaper - universal. They cover not only the walls, but also the doors, creating unimaginable patterns and compositions. At the same time, you do not have to bother with opening the canvas. However, the door can not be exposed to moisture. Therefore, to decorate a door in a bathroom or kitchen, this method is unacceptable.

For work requires a dry wallpaper mixture, several spatulas of different sizes, a gun-hopper, roller, transparent lacquer, stains.

1. The door must always be covered with a layer of alkyd primer and a putty of oily white color before decorating. This preparation is mandatory, because through the layer of wallpaper there will be a noticeably poorly prepared base, and the color of the finished work can be distorted.
2. Dilute the mixture, adding a little warm water and stirring with your hands( it's completely safe).After about 15 minutes, the wallpaper should be thoroughly mixed again, adding color. The more color, the more intense the color. For pastel shades, it's enough to add a cap of the color to 5 liters of the mixture. To create a picture, you need to knead the wallpaper in several small containers, adding to each mixture a certain color shade.

   We take on the spatula a little mixture and put it on the door, gently smoothing and stretching in different directions. Continue to apply the mixture and smooth, laying out the drawings and making sure that the layer of the wallpaper mixture is equal in thickness. 4. After about 1-3 days the "painting" will dry up and it can be covered with a transparent varnish, which will protect the work from rapid abrasion. In the case if the result from the first time turned out unsatisfactory, we wash off the wallpaper with warm water and re-produce the application procedure.

We decorate the door with a mirror

A very unusual door finish can be made using mirrors. Such a decor not only draws everyone's attention, but also visually expands the space of the room, adds light. However, it is very inconvenient to cut and fasten a classic glass mirror, the good is an alternative - acrylic panels with amalgam, which has an excellent reflective ability.

Even from such a simple material as buckwheat husks, excellent work is obtained. The cost of the material is minimal, but the lifetime of such a coating, unfortunately, can not be called too long.

Step 1. Remove from the door a layer of old paint, the vinyl cover available, eliminate all the irregularities putty.

Step 2. Remove the door from the hinges and put it on the floor / stool / table. We paint the door leaf with a dark brown paint. If the door has glass inserts, we protect them with paint tape.

We will combine the coloring of the door with the technique of decoupage and in addition we will add decorative elements. We will carry out the work on the door already laid off from the hinges, pasted and carefully polished, laid horizontally.

Step 1. We paint the door with white acrylic paint. Paint with a broad brush with a stiff bristle in one direction, a thin layer.

Step 2. When the paint dries, gently grind it with a rough emery, achieving the effect of "antiquity".

Step 3. Let's start decorating the panels or the central part of the door. We tear our note-books and old newspapers with small hands. Draw on the door with a pencil box for the activity of a rectangular or square shape. Lubricate the outlined areas with PVA glue. Immediately chaotically spread the paper, smoothing it with his hands. On top, we apply a transparent varnish in two layers.

Step 4. Along the perimeter of paper-glued areas we attach to the mounting glue the black baguette.

In addition, the door can be decorated with a beautiful wreath, a large bow of lace or plastic beads imitating pearls( on an adhesive basis).
