The technology of warming the walls of the frame house

click fraud protection

Frame houses first appeared in the US, but over the past few years, this practice of construction has gained popularity in the domestic space. Despite a number of advantages of such buildings, inexpensive and ergonomic houses have one significant drawback - a low value of thermal insulation. It is for this reason that the warming of the walls of the frame house becomes a priority in the erection of the building.

Choosing the optimal insulation

Thermal insulation technologyThe walls of the frame house depend on the type of insulation material selected for wall cladding. Since the normal humidity in the room and the storage of heat inside - important criteria for comfortable living, the choice of material should be approached with responsibility and scrupulousness.

In general, all thermal insulation materials can be divided into two groups:

  • organic;
  • synthetic.

The first category includes raw materials of natural origin, for example, peat, peat, shavings, etc. Such materials are environmentally friendly and do not harm human health during operation, however they are impractical: high degree of flammability, moisture capacity and low thermal insulation index - not the best optionfor the warmth of modern buildings.

The second group includes more technological heaters, which provide reliable thermal insulation of the room. These include:

  • balsamic mineral wool;
  • ecowool;
  • wool from fiberglass;
  • foam and foam isole;
  • stone wool.

We consider the operation of each material in more detail:

  1. Basalt mineral wool is one of the most high-quality absorbing materials, which has significant advantages: resistance to biological corrosion, low flammability, good sound insulation, resistance to moisture and sunlight.
  2. Glass wool is a material with high vapor permeability. Also this heater is easy to install and does not disintegrate with time. However, with the thermal insulation of the walls glassy, it is necessary to additionally attach a special film, which helps to keep heat inside the house.
  3. Ecowool is a relatively new sealant, which is a cellulose fiber. It has a natural origin, does not require the installation of films and has good thermal insulation properties. The warming of the walls of the frame house is eco-friendly for those who want to make the house environmentally friendly.
  4. Polyfoam and penoizol - the most popular materials for insulation of the room. The advantage of this raw material is its high moisture resistance, which does not require laying a vapor barrier membrane. And also the warming of the walls of the frame house with foam plastic is much cheaper than the analogues, and the quality of the achieved result does not change.
  5. Stone wool is a new finishing material that is rapidly gaining popularity. This type of insulation has good water-repellent properties and flexibility. It has a long service life and is easy to install.

Thermal insulation of frame houses outside

The loss of thermal insulation properties in frame houses occurs through the walls of the structure. This figure often exceeds 40% of the total heat loss of the building. Therefore, the process of facing the walls can be carried out as an external method, and choose the interior finish of surfaces. The most appropriate and practical solution will be the external insulation of the house, since it is much easier to lay the material off the street.

Since polystyrene is the most popular and affordable insulation, consider the process of thermal insulation of the walls using the example of this material.

Step 1: Surface Waterproofing

  1. Prepare a waterproofing material. For these purposes, the best is parchment, water absorption of which is 20% per day.
  2. Open the roll according to the dimensions of the frame sections.
  3. Using a construction stapler, fix the parchment to the skin and the posts of the structure. Strengthen at joints with gaps of 10-13 cm.

Important! Fragments of the interlayer must be overlapped, making an overlap of 10 cm.

Step 2: Laying the vapor barrier of the

This step in the insulation of the walls of the frame building is necessary, even if you lay the highest quality insulating materials that are not afraid of moisture. The reason is the feature that in addition to the insulation in the wall cake of the house there are other elements. They also need protection from steam entering the inside wall.

Let's take a step-by-step guide to laying the vapor barrier membrane:

  1. This material is fixed to the building frames by means of a construction stapler so that the film fits snugly against the seal.
  2. As in the case of waterproofing, the joints of the membrane should be overlapped, leaving an overlap of at least 10 cm.
  3. For best results, all junctions should be reinforced with an aluminum tape.

Important! Sometimes builders resort to such a method of vapor barrier as simple winding of insulating sheets with a membrane. However, this technique can not provide protection to all elements of the framework.

Step 3: Laying of the insulation

  1. Prepare the foam plates, cutting them into the required dimensions, depending on the dimensions of the frame sections. For this, a jigsaw or a hacksaw with small teeth are used.
  2. Place the heater between the posts so that the sheets lie evenly, and in the places where the wooden bars are adjacent to them, there is 2-3 cm left for ventilation.
  3. Each foam board is attached to the base of the walls by means of special compounds: two-component - adhesive and leveling, or one universal.
  4. For strength, glued blocks must be fixed with fasteners - umbrellas or fungi.

4

Step 4: Wall cladding

After the process of warming the walls of the frame building is completed, it is necessary to carry out the surface stitching. For this, gypsum boards or OSB boards are suitable.

  • plasterboard is recommended to be applied on ideally smooth walls;
  • OSB can be attached to any surface, as the rigidity of the material will hide and align flaws on the wall.

These decorative materials can be decorated with decorative surfaces.

Wall insulation from inside the frame house

This method of thermal insulation is carried out in a similar way with the insulation of the outer surface of the house. However, minor differences in techniques are still present. Let's consider them in more detail:

  1. The surface of the wall must be prepared: clean and align flaws.
  2. Then the walls are carefully treated with a primer.
  3. Then you can start laying foam sheets. The method of fixing is similar to the previous one - first the plates are glued, then fixed with fixing materials.
  4. Gypsum boards are placed on top, which are also fixed with mounting glue, and for durability are fixed with dowel-umbrellas.
  5. After that, the finish is finished and the decorative facing of the wall.

Important! It should be noted that the insulation of the walls from the inside is less effective than the external insulation, while the thermal insulation material significantly reduces the size of the room. This technique is extremely rare, if it is impossible to carry out outdoor work.
