First of all, of course, the bath itself and its accessories are needed: legs, hooks for fixing to the wall, two mounting strips.

Step-by-step installation instructions for the acrylic bath

Let's begin by attaching the mounting strips to the bottom of the bathtub with screws, as shown in the video. To do this, turn the bathtub upside down, place the bars on top of it and make appropriate markings to know where to drill the holes.

After this, remove the straps and make grooves in the surface of the bath. Drill should be shallow, dropping no more than 5 mm.

The installation of an acrylic bath is a responsible process, therefore, to avoid damage to the acrylic surface, everything must be done as carefully as possible. Further we fasten the mounting strips to the bathroom screws, and fix the legs to the ends of the slats.

Screws and other parts should only be used from an appropriate kit, which is designed for the parameters and coating thickness of a particular bath. Screw the screws into the thickened part of the bottom of the tub.

Next step: installation of the bathtub directly in place. At the appropriate height from the floor we drill holes in the walls, we block the dowels and attach special hooks, again, using screws.

The installation of the corner acrylic bath is made by landing on these hooks - thus ensuring the most reliable and durable fixation.

We check the stability of the bath, as shown in the photo, as well as its horizontal position using the building level. If the structure has some mobility, even a small one, the final height calibration should be done by adjusting the legs.

When installing an acrylic bath on a frame, do not forget about the installation of a drain siphon. If the parts do not coincide with each other even for a few millimeters, then a leakage of water and, consequently, problems with neighbors may be possible.

As you know, acrylic, like steel, poorly retains heat. In order that the bath does not cool down so quickly, you can immerse it in a kind of "thermos", consisting of a thin layer of mounting foam, which covers both the bottom and sides of the bath. Silicone can be sealed and all the cracks between the body of the bath and the walls.

When solving the installation of an acrylic bath with your own hands, it helps both your own experience and the advice of professionals. In the different bathrooms there are their nuances, and the fact that it was possible to successfully put the bath the first time does not mean that it will happen in other cases.

One of the basic requirements that must be met before the installation is completed - the completion of all repair and finishing works in the bathroom. The walls must be plastered, the floor is leveled, the tile is laid.

For final check of the executed works on stability and tightness it is necessary to type water in a font and to wait some time. If there are no leakages and other negative phenomena, the installation of an acrylic bath can be considered successful.
