Textured plaster allows you to realize any fantasies about the interior decoration of your house, apartment. Packing with plaster consists of three parts:
- directly plaster( represents a certain homogeneous mass)
- various additives
- fillers.
All this during the processing of the wall creates a certain surface relief.
The surface intended for plaster application must be carefully processed. It is necessary to remove traces of wallpaper, available rust stains. The surface must be neatly leveled. To do this, it should be plastered, maybe more than once. The next stage is the leveling of this surface( grinding) and the application of soil. Some types of plaster are allowed to be applied to the unprimed surface, but it is better not to neglect priming.
When applying the plaster directly to the surface of the wall, work should begin at some angle and move evenly along the entire perimeter of the wall. It is recommended to work together: one person applies the plaster to the wall, and the other at this time begins using special rollers to give the deposited layer a certain relief appearance. The applied layer should be 2-3 mm thick. The wall is treated in parts, between which you should not leave even edges. Otherwise, the joint of the edges will be noticeable. To apply the texture plaster used spatula, which usually comes complete with packaging.
After the applied layer has dried a little, it is necessary to remove excess plaster - build-ups and other irregularities - with a metal grater. After complete drying of the applied plaster( usually a day or two), the surface is treated with sandpaper.
In order to ensure greater safety of the plastered wall, it is recommended to apply a protective layer on it. It is better to use wax, then the walls will be easy to wash.
