The simplest washstand
The dachshund of the simplest design is a simple container with a lid made of plastic or( more rarely) metal. The water supply is carried out by means of a clamping spout. There is such a washstand that is a penny, and its volume reaches only 3-5 liters of water. He hangs on any vertical support, whether it's a house wall, a barn, a garage or just a tree.
It is necessary to top up the water manually, and it is not necessary to organize the discharge. In the event that a rare use of the device is assumed, it is possible for the water to simply drain to the ground or drain from gravel and crushed stone. If it is supposed more frequent use, it is better to place a container under the washstand that will collect the drain water and prevent it from splashing on its feet.
Suspended washbasin
The second option to equip elementary hygiene products in the country is to install a pendant washbasin. Just like the previous one, it requires a vertical support, but its volume can reach 10 liters or more. Water is also poured by hand, but it is much less necessary to do this because of the larger volume.
Often such street models are equipped with a crane located at the bottom of the tank. After opening the valve, water flows out by gravity.
These wash basins are made of plastic or stainless steel, moreover, the second option is preferable, although a little more expensive.
Please note! When the pendant wash basin falls, especially full, the plastic will instantly split, while the metal can be suspended again and operated without sacrificing quality.
Washstand on stand
No major differences from the previous model this unit has, except mobility. In this case, there is a similar pendant capacity with a volume of about 10 liters, but you do not need to look for a vertical support for the installation - there is a reliable rack in the kit. At the bottom of the support there are special spikes and the protruding part - the "pedal", pressing on which, you drive the spikes into the ground in any desired part of the dacha. The model is carefully designed, so it does not overturn under its weight. Such a garden washbasin can be installed where the bulk of work passes, for greater convenience.
Washbasin-pedestal "Moydodyr"
Washbasin, who became a hero of the fairy tale, still lives and enjoys great popularity among summer residents and villagers. It consists of a tank with a sufficiently large volume, a sink, a curbstone, into which a bucket is placed for draining. Can also have a mirror, sometimes equipped with hooks for towels and a soap tray. Can be installed both on the street and in the cottage.
Like the previous two models, for direct hygienic tasks a valve cock located at the bottom of the tank is used. Water flows by gravity.
Despite the notable cumbersome design, the washstand "Moydodyr" has several undeniable advantages: the drain is closed with the thumbs of the cabinet and does not splash, and the presence of the sink allows not only to wash hands and wash, but also to wash dishes, fruits, vegetables and berries.
Washbasin heated to the dacha
This is the most modern and comfortable model available in places where there is no pressure water supply. In fact, it is an improved and refined "Moydodyr", warm water in which will not freeze in autumn or spring, when the weather is not warm enough.
Most models of heated washbasins are primitive enough, and the water in them is heated entirely. In the best case, the teng has a temperature sensor and turns itself off when it reaches it, at worst - you have to make sure that the water does not overheat. In an alternative, more convenient option, there is not one tank, but two, and, respectively, two cranes. In this case, water is heated only in one container, and with the second one it can be diluted with cold water.
Washbasin for the cottage with their own hands
Apparently, all models of wash-hand basins are quite simple in their design. You can do any of them yourself. For example, the easiest to do without problems is to make a plastic 5-6-liter bottle or canister. To do this, the bottles are cut off the bottom and suspended on a horizontal support using wire or any other improvised materials. The water is poured into the container, and the "tap" is opened, partially unscrewing the stopper.
Suspended washbasin is easy to make from an unnecessary plastic or metal barrel. The crane will have to be purchased separately and mounted in the barrel wall at its base, carefully sealing everything.
For a washbasin with a curbstone it is necessary to work more: it needs a flat convenient water tank, a sink and plywood or chipboard. At desire it is possible to alter an old chest or a dressing-table into a washstand.
