The process is fairly simple and does not take much time. The only problem is to do everything correctly, because during the connection many electricians-beginners tolerate small errors, which in a short period of time can disable the device.

Protection of electrical wiring in the house

The most common errors in the installation of a wiring, and in particular the connection of an automaton, are as follows:

  1. The supply wire is started from the bottom. In spite of the fact that the electrical installation rules are not forbidden by the rules of the UE, we still do not recommend connecting the circuit-breaker from below, especially since even on the front panel of the enclosure there is a scheme where the place of installation of the fixed contact is from above( as shown in the photo below).Proper power connection
  2. The contacts are clamped too tightly with the fixing screw. Do not allow this, because as a result, you can not only damage the cable core, but also deform the body of the product.
  3. Conductors do not connect correctly. Mandatory condition - phase must be connected under the phase, neutral under neutral( if a two-pole switch is used).Immediately recommend that you familiarize yourself with the material: the color coding of the wires.
  4. Two single-pole machines are used instead of one bipolar machine. This is strictly prohibited, becausephase and zero must be disconnected at the same time.
  5. When fixing the conductor to the seat, insulation comes into it. Be sure to clean the wire as much as the model passport requires. If you screw down the insulation, the conductor contact will loosen, resulting in heating of the core and further adverse effects. For this event, we recommend using a special tool for stripping.
  6. Incorrect selection of the circuit breaker, in particular the product is not capable of withstanding the incoming loads. In this case, first you need to calculate the correct cable cross-section and, according to the calculated characteristics, select the appropriate model.
  7. When calculating a suitable circuit breaker, the value is rounded up. For example, you found that the current load on the product is 19 Amps. According to the simplest logic, electricians-beginners go to the store and purchase a device of the nearest value for connection - 20 amperes. This is a huge mistake, becausethe calculated value is nominal, and it turns out that the protection operation will be carried out with a slight overload of the wiring. It is better to purchase a switch with an indicator of 16 amperes, so the wiring will last longer.

Another important point, on which there are many discussions - is it possible to connect the machine to the meter of electricity or is it done only after it? The answer - you can, and even need, the main thing is to buy a special box, which is sealed by representatives of the energy sales. Installation of an input machine in front of an electricity meter will allow a safe replacement of the electricity control device in both a private house and an apartment.

Basic process

So, in the initial position, we have an electric board in which products will be installed, as well as all wires( input and output to consumers).

Bipolar device

Let's consider the instruction for dummies on an example of connection of a two-pole circuit-breaker in the flap:

  1. The first step is to turn off the power and check it with a multimeter or indicator screwdriver. The instruction for using the multimeter was provided to the readers!
  2. The machine is mounted on a special DIN landing rail and snaps into place with a lock. You can do without dyne raki, but it's less convenient.
  3. The conductors of the water and outgoing conductors are stripped to 8-10 mm.
  4. In the two upper terminals, you need to connect the input zero and phase( do not forget about the recommendations listed above).
  5. Accordingly, the bottom two holes fix outgoing zero and phase( those that go to electrical appliances, sockets and switches).
  6. After this, the connection point of the wires must be checked manually for reliability. To do this, you need to carefully take the conductor and move it in different directions. If the vein stays in place, then the connection is reliable, otherwise tighten the screw again.
  7. After all wiring the robot is supplied with voltage to the network and the working capacity of the product is checked.
