I, as a professional builder, had to deal with a variety of different materials. Wood, concrete, brick, stone - all these building materials are good in their own way, but they are also characterized by very solid lists of shortcomings. The greatest versatility and reliability are demonstrated by the arbolite blocks, the reviews of which make it possible to understand that they can be used for the construction of cottages in any region of our country.
Having estimated the composition of the arbolite, we can come to the conclusion that we are dealing with modern and technological material, since it consists of sawdust of a certain fraction, chips, and cement, which serves as a binding element. In the process of working with arbolitic blocks, I was able to understand that they are not only very convenient as building elements, because they differ in ideal geometric dimensions and not too much weight, but they also have characteristics that are extremely important for comfortable living:
- Minimum thermal conductivity, thanks to which the house of arbolitic blocks will be warm in winter and cool enough - in the summer;
- Resistance to combustion and rotting processes. Resistance to aggressive chemicals;
- Absolute safety from an environmental point of view.
Advantages of arbolitic blocks
If we talk about the advantages of arbolitic blocks as a building element, I would like to emphasize the following of their advantages:
- Maximum resistance to impact loads. If we compare the strength of the arbolite and concrete, the first material will be approximately 2 times stronger than the last, supplemented with expanded clay or slag. Seasonal fluctuations do not lead to the fact that the arbolite is covered by cracks;
- The lowest price. Arbolite does not need expensive finishing, and a special surface allows to provide maximum adhesion to plaster even without the use of a grid;
- Low mass. One unit weighs about 15 kilograms, which facilitates both the unloading process and the process of directly performing work operations.
Summing up, I can confidently say that the only drawback of the arbolite is its low "prestige".However, if we recall the subjectivity of such a judgment, it can be stated that there are simply no shortcomings in the material.
