  • putty knives - wide and narrow;
  • construction knife and scissors;
  • wide brush for spreading glue on the wall;
  • level;
  • plumb line;
  • ruler;
  • special roller, trowel or brush for smoothing the wallpaper;
  • small roller for smoothing joints;
  • soft sponge for removing excess glue.

Preparatory work - to properly paste the non-woven wallpaper

Before starting, it is necessary to make preparatory work. First - clean the walls of the old coating, if necessary - remove the old plaster and apply a new one, then level the surface with putty and necessarily primed. This can be done with a special fungicide primer to prevent the fungus from multiplying( if there are prerequisites for this, or the wall before the puttying has already been affected by the fungus).But it is better to use the same glue that was purchased for wallpaper, diluting in the ratio indicated in the instruction for priming the walls. The primer should dry before further work.

Using a plumb line, ruler and pencil draw a line from the corner at a distance of the width of the wallpaper. If you bought a meter long non-woven wallpaper - before you glue them make sure that the true width of the cloth is taken into account - it can be 106 cm or so.

Cut the number of stripes necessary for one wall, not forgetting that they should be about 10 cm longer than the height of the wall. Fit the picture, if there is one, so that it exactly matches.

How to paste - the fineness of the

process. Dilute the adhesive for the non-woven wallpaper and carefully spread it over the wall surface from the bottom to the top, slightly going behind the drawn line.

Take the cut strip and in dry form( do not apply glue on this kind of coating), attach it exactly along the line drawn by you on the wall. Smooth from the middle to the edge, making sure there are no bubbles left. If adhesive has got on the face of the canvas, immediately remove it with a soft damp sponge. This is especially important if in the future the wallpaper will be painted. If you do not remove excess, there will not be paint in these places.

Remember: the material that we are talking about glues only to butt. Therefore, each next piece of cloth is applied exactly close to the previous one, leaving no gap and not allowing "crawling".It is very important to vertically draw the first gluing line.

When you have finished the treatment of the wall with whole panels, you should know how to glue the corners with non-woven wallpaper. To do this, measure the distance from the end of the previous panel to the corner and add 3 to 4 centimeters, and then cut the next sheet along the resulting distance, and overlap so that the corner must overlap, but only a few centimeters. On the next wall begin again from the very corner, overlapping these centimeters. In the corners from above and / or from below, the panel is cut if it is slightly longer than the wall. After smoothing all the panels are cut with a knife and ruler.
