For the connection of various floor coverings, such as laminate, tile, parquet or carpet, there is a special aluminum threshold on the market. Consider the option of using this paddle when connecting two types of laminate, joining each other in the stain of the door frame.

Threshold 1. When setting up the interior threshold, it is necessary to mark the place for its installation.

2. By setting the threshold of the interior door, you will need to measure the distance between the door quarters and trim the threshold, according to the measured dimensions, with a small angle grinder or metal saw.

3. The number of dowels for setting the threshold is calculated based on one fastening element for 10-15 cm length. In our example, the seam between the laminate and the laminate is closer to the corridor, and it is required to set the threshold closer to the middle. For this, the places of installation of dowels are marked on the laminate so that the lines drawn with a pencil are visible from under the floor threshold, i.e.that they were closer to the room. To do this, cut out small grooves in the panels of the laminate for the installation of dowels. This is also done to ensure that the dowel is in a free state, so that the laminate can "walk" and nothing hinders it.

4. For the installation of dowels, on the perforator drill, it is necessary to note the length of the supposed holes in the floor corresponding to the dimensions of the plastic dowel. On the drill, you can install a stopper with a strip of construction tape or insulation tape.

5. Drill holes in the floor, as shown in the photo, they need to insert plastic dowels.

Metal screws are installed in the groove of the lower part of the threshold opposite the plastic dowels.

After inserting metal screws into the dowels and pre-baiting them, you will need to press the threshold tightly to the floor, using a hammer or wooden bar as a nozzle, which you need to beat with a hammer. Remaining from the marking line will need to be erased with a conventional eraser.
