Special primers: 3-in-1 for rust and deep penetration

Primer-enamel 3-in-1 for metal and rust

Such a mixture is much less often used for the primary treatment of holistic, corrosion-free metal. Its advantage is in the fast and high-quality processing of rust so that the product again looks attractive and ceases to collapse.

Composition of 3-in-1 primer for rust

A wide range of properties is determined by a carefully designed composition. Primer mixture 3-in-1 contains:

  • resin of synthetic origin;
  • organic solvent;
  • "rusted";
  • anticorrosive substances;
  • additional components that make up the properties of the enamel.

3-in-1 priming for metal and rust

Primer-enamel 3-in-1 avoids the weight of metal processing steps that were mandatory before its occurrence. Before finishing, now there is no need for laborious work on the mechanical removal of rust, and after priming, do not apply a decorative layer. All these tasks are taken up by the composition, in fact, combining the three decorative materials:

  • chemical corrosion converter;
  • primer with anti-corrosion properties;
  • decorative enamel.

Using such a primer, it is possible to quickly and efficiently process large-size metal structures, surfaces with traces of corrosion no more than 1/10 mm thick, constructions indoors and outdoors, products made of ferrous metals and certain types of color( aluminum, zinc, copper).

Primer properties 3-in-1

Unlike a conventional paint or primer, which does little to prevent the development of corrosion, applying primer-enamel of this type can be assured of the durability of the finish. The process of formation of rust products under the polymer layer will be so reduced that the paint will successfully serve the entire allotted period.

For this is the set of properties:

  • ability to replace three finishing materials;
  • possibility of finishing work without removing the layer of corrosion;
  • weather and moisture resistance;
  • resistance to harmful environments( salts, non-strong solutions of acids and alkalis, mineral oils);
  • rapid drying;
  • elasticity and thermal stability( fluctuations -45 - 100 ° C are permissible);
  • possibility of painting at minus values up to -10 ° С.

Primer enamel is economical and convenient when applied. In addition, with high paint and varnish characteristics of the material, a very small consumption of the composition is required.

Instructions for use of primer enamel 3-in-1 for rust

It is quite easy to work with priming enamel. It can be applied in several ways: by brush, roller, spray or dipping - and used as a primer for metal and rust or as a paint and varnish material.

Application of priming enamel 3-in-1

The first stages - surface preparation - are the same for both variants:

  1. Remove dirt and rubbish from the structure.
  2. Remove old paint and rust.
  3. Make sure that the surface does not have fatty traces or condensation. If necessary, dry and degrease.
  4. To be applied to the previous paint, check its compatibility with the test if the material information is not preserved. To do this, apply a primer coat to the part of the structure and wait half an hour. If the materials are not swollen during this time, you can process the entire surface.

Application of primer-enamel 3-in-1 as a primer

In this case, a single-layer uniform application of the composition by any of the above methods is sufficient. Well combined with the material oil, pentaphthalic, water-dispersion and perchlorovinyl paints.

Note! Do not use nitrocellulose compounds - the paint will swell!

Application of primer enamel 3-in-1 in the usual way

For this purpose, one to three layers of primer-enamel are applied depending on the purposes and the desired result. Work can be done by any of these methods, applying paint:

  • "wet on wet" method: the drying of layers does not exceed half an hour;
  • in the usual way, when any next layer is applied after the previous drying has completely dried out.

The time for the final drying of the paint material applied in several layers varies from a few days to a week under different conditions.

Primer for deep penetration

This kind of primer is a real resuscitation for weak surfaces before finishing. With it, you do not need to remove the old layer of plaster, putty or wood before painting or wallpapering.

Primer for deep penetration

Composition of the deep penetration acrylic primer

The emulsion can have additional properties, on which its components can vary, but there are basic components:

  • slurry of polymeric acrylic resins;
  • water;
  • emollients;
  • thinning modifiers.

At the same time, deep penetration primers always have an increased content of adhesives, which explains their properties.

Technical characteristics and properties of deep penetration ground

The main characteristics of acrylic compounds are reduced to the main task - strengthening the basis for finishing:

  • penetration depth depending on the quality of the primer varies from 5 to 10 mm;
  • the time of complete drying of the primer of almost any brand is about 24 hours, if the temperature is from 20 ° С and the humidity does not exceed 60% - for other parameters the period can vary;
  • can be used with a deep penetration primer at a temperature of 5 to 10 ° C;
  • has a white, transparent or light gray color;
  • soil operation is possible at temperatures of -40 - 60 ° C;
  • are not toxic, explosive and fire hazardous substances.

Loose wall surface

Due to this set of qualities, the deep penetration primer:

  • penetrates the surface quickly and deeply;
  • binds the particles of the base material to each other;
  • creates on the surface of a thin elastic film, preventing the destruction of the substrate and reducing the consumption of finishing finishes;
  • enhances adhesion;
  • levels the surface color;
  • may have antiseptic and antifungal properties.

Instruction for the use of a deep penetration primer

In operation, the material is simple, so there will not be any difficulty in applying it even to the person who is trying to repair forces for the first time. Follow the basic steps:

  1. Prepare the surface for application, cleaning it from dirt, old finish, handle greasy stains.
  2. Separated and splintered parts should be removed mechanically.
  3. If possible, the concrete and plaster surfaces should be sanded for deeper penetration of the soil into the pores of the material.
  4. Apply primer with a brush, roller or spray gun as evenly as possible over the entire surface.

    Note! For loose or uneven surfaces, two layers of material may be needed. Before applying the second layer should pass at least an hour.

  5. Proceed to further decorating the room no earlier than in 24 hours.

Correctly applied deep penetration primer will create the appearance of a wet and varnished surface. It will greatly facilitate further work, reduce the consumption of subsequent materials and extend the life of the finish.
