Acquaintance with
material Liquid putty is one of the types of putty. It is sold ready for use, thanks to which it is very convenient to use. In the market of building materials, there are two types of putties - dry and wet. Dry mixtures are much cheaper, but the time and energy needed to mix them is much greater.
Dry mix, no matter how well it is bred, still has small grains in the composition that make the plastering process more complicated and time-consuming. Therefore, deciding to save on materials and buy a dry mix, you do not get a guarantee that it will, because its consumption is greater than that of wet putty. To repair it was easier and faster, you can use a wet putty. It is sold in any specialized store in tightly closed buckets, so that it can not dry quickly.
If the whole mixture is not consumed at a time, then it can be reliably closed and left for the next use. In consistence, it resembles sour cream, so working with it is very convenient. It also leaves virtually no defects, unlike other materials.
Note! There are different types of liquid putties, so you should carefully read the instructions with instructions for their use.
Liquid putty and its varieties
There are several types of liquid putty:
- Latex;
- Acrylic;
- Facade.
Latex is a liquid putty for walls that need finishing. With its help, the seams in the plasterboard are sealed. Its structure is very fine-grained and allows the application of thin layers of the mixture. This putty is perfect for decorative decoration of arches and niches. Latex mixture, like acrylic, is considered finish, it greatly simplifies and speeds up the repair process.
Acrylic blends are used for both exterior and interior work. With their help, the concrete walls with plaster are perfectly leveled, the seams in the plasterboard are sealed. This shpaklevka dries within four to six hours, which, in many ways, determines the thickness of its layer.
Facade putty is used for outdoor work and is used to repair all defects in external walls. Due to its consistency, this liquid mixture can be useful for work on the ceiling, since it fits well on the spatula. It's very easy to work with, so even a beginner painter can do it. Note! Two layers of façade putty are applied, as this contributes to a better effect from the work performed.
Advantages and disadvantages of
Liquid filler has an excellent advantage - it splits perfectly on the surface. This quality makes it possible to use it to fill any, even the smallest, irregularities on the surface. In addition, with its help you can make a minimum thickness in the layer, which helps to save material. It also has an excellent property - convergence. This is called the ability of the material to form an even surface without any mechanical impact. The time of its solidification is relatively small, so the total time for the work is reduced.
Note! Rapid drying of the layer allows not only to shorten the working time, but also to monitor the progress of its execution more qualitatively.
Its composition includes various synthetic additives, which increase the properties of resistance to moisture, temperature and make it stronger. This kind of putty, thanks to its qualities, has become actively used not only in construction, but also in the repair of cars. This is due to the fact that the applied layer is almost perfectly flat. The disadvantages are the same price, which is higher than that of dry mixtures.
