The raw material for manufacturing this material is wood and waste processing( chips, chips).All this is mixed with the glue and pressed under pressure at a high temperature. In the second method, water is not used. All components, including binders, are mixed. Then move to a special form. The pressing process takes place at a lower pressure and higher temperature. As a result, tiles are formed with a smooth surface( on both sides).However, the structure inside the material is more porous and friable. For presentable appearance, fiberboard is treated with stain, tinted or varnished( it is possible for parquet).
Types of fiberboard
This material is produced in accordance with GOST 4598-86.Depending on the method of production, and also the purpose, the plates can be divided into soft, semi-solid, super-hard, refined. The first among the advantages are high porosity, among the disadvantages - low strength. That is why they, most often, are used in construction for heat and sound insulation. As the main material they are not suitable.
The second ones are used for making furniture( rear walls and drawers).It is justified by the fact that their density is much higher. Hence, and strength. Because they are able to withstand greater loads than the first.
