When calculating the amount of required material, from the total length subtract the value of all openings, doors and windows. Separately, the amount of material for decoration around the windows, above and below, and above the door is calculated. Taking into account the specifics of finishing window and door openings, corners of internal and external type, count the number of elements of the assembly.
Frame - the basis of all
The assembly of PVC panels is carried out on a bearing structure, crate. For this, marking with a distance of 50-60 centimeters is done on the wall. Further on it guides are set for PVC panels, which are fixed with screws and dowels. Vertical and horizontal for the rails are exposed using the level. If you do not achieve the verticality of the guides, the angles will be curved. Reinforcement of the carrier type must be fixed at an angle of 90 degrees to the panels, that is:
- If the installation is done horizontally, then vertically;
- If vertically, then horizontally( parallel to the floor).
- If the installation is carried out obliquely, then at an angle of 90 degrees relative to the slats.
Other things should also be considered, without which the frame for PVC panels may fail:
- In premises with high humidity, zinc-plated metal profiles are used instead of wood;
- In the places where mounting of hinged elements is supposed to be done, auxiliary carcass bars are made.
Important! To fix the ceiling skirting, you need to use a special fastener.
Installation of PVC panels with their own hands
Now let's talk about how to fix PVC panels. The inner corners are fixed by staples in the corners. The profile for PVC panels is mounted towards the openings on the left side. Assembly begins with the insertion of the plastic strip into the socket corner. After that, the fastening shelf is fastened to the bar by staples. The next bar is sent to the groove of the panel already mounted and fixed by brackets to the crate. The third and the following are attached in a similar way. When working on securing it is necessary to adhere to certain rules:
- The slats are sealed until fully adhered;
- The position of the first panel is adjusted using the level.
PVC panels are cut as required. The question may arise, how to cut PVC panels? There are several ways for this. You can use a jigsaw or a simple knife, which under the ruler is cut, and it breaks the profile.
Note! The most effective way to cut panels is to cut them with a knife and break through a section. The last panel is wound in the corner slot and can be replaced with an end element. All work is finished with the installation of skirting boards, which are closed like joints between the floor and panels, and cables and wires.
