With the function of supports for this canopy, concrete poles with a diameter of about 300 mm will perfectly cope. Each of these supports can withstand an average of 1 ton of weight. In practice, this value is even more impressive, but we will believe the approved standards.

We multiply the total area of ​​roof rajids by the value of the snow load for our region, add the weight of the roof to the result, divide the calculated number by 1000 kg and find that about 7.5 poles are needed to ensure the proper stability of the canopy of such dimensions. We surround in the big party, i.е.up to 8. As a result, we will establish a support in the corners of the canopy and one rack at the center of each span.

Supports will be immersed to a depth of about 1.2 m. With such a foundation, the canopy does not exactly fail.

Building a canopy: step by step instruction

The first step. We make cavities for installation of supports. This will help us drill a diameter of 30 cm. It is better to use an automated drilling rig - to drill more than a meter deep manually long and difficult. At the same time we get stones and other interfering objects that come across our path.

The second step. The grooves are ready. We make formwork for the pillars of special paper tubes - are sold in modern construction stores. As a result, the pipes will form beautiful columns above the ground with a height of 30-50 cm.

The third step. We prepare the concrete. It is easiest to buy a ready-made dry mixture in bags and dilute it with water in accordance with the instructions.

The fourth step. Fill the columns. In the fresh concrete we insert the brackets for further fixing of the wooden racks with a cross section of 15x15 cm.

Fifth step. We carry out the sawing of timber and boards according to the size of the elements of our canopy. Everything is perfectly visible in the photos.

The seventh step. We attach to the vertical racks of the board of the upper carrier of the strapping. To do this, we use a double board with a width of 30 cm and a thickness of 4 cm. A plain unprocessed board will do - it will be under the roof and bad weather will not harm the wood in any way.

For connecting boards with timber we use bolts with a diameter of 1 cm with a minimum of 20 mm washers.

The seventh step. Add to the main posts a second supporting board and tighten all the elements of the construction with bolts. We make braces from the bars 10x10 cm.

The eighth step. We collect roof trusses. For their manufacture, a board with a width of 10 cm and a thickness of 4 cm is suitable. The design is standard and has the form of a triangle. For greater rigidity, we fix in-between the triangle intermediate veins from the bursa or the board. Farms are more convenient to collect on the ground, and then fasten them to the harness already ready.

Ninth step. We sew the established farms with the OSB board. The recommended thickness of the skin is 1.2 cm.

Eleventh step. Sew up the roof gables of our canopy with siding, lining or other material of your choice. If desired, we can attach the cross-members to the vertical supports and cover the whole canopy - this moment is left to the owner's discretion.

Next, we need to install the storm pipes and bring them to a pre-selected location, for example, in an inter-ditch trench. This event deserves a separate consideration.

The system will be mounted so that the receiving hole is in the lower part of the roof slope of our canopy. We choose the side of the roof, focusing on the location of the ditch for reception of drains.

The first step. We fix the hook-holders. We install the gutter with a slope in the direction of the water inlet. To ensure the required inclination of the trough, we use hook-holders. We mount them at a minimum with a 0.5-cm slope for each meter of the length of the drainage structure. The marking for the installation of hooks is as follows:

  • we find the bottom or top point of the drainage system for mounting the outer bracket. The extreme brackets are installed at a distance of 100 mm from the edges of the water intake;
  • knowing the required length of the system, we recede from the extreme point a distance equal to 0.5 mm multiplied by the total length of the gutter in meters. We mark the second point;
  • pull the rope between two marks and fix the hooks, orienting on it;
  • we mount hooks with half-meter step.

Second step. Adjust the length of the pipe. Cut off excess with a hacksaw. We clean off the scrap with a sharp knife. Saw off so that during the cutting process the geometry of the pipe section is not violated.

The third step. Install the pipe on the hooks. If we use plastic hooks, first insert the back edge of our gutter in the groove on the fasteners, and then lower the front edge of the pipe and press. As a result, the trough snaps into place and simply locks into place.

When installing on metal fasteners, first lay the gutter on the fasteners and bend the flexible tabs so that they cover the pipe.

The fourth step. Install the funnel. Cut out the hole in the right place of the trough and apply a funnel to it from the bottom. We will fix the fixation with glue. To do this, first clean the surface, abundantly apply the binder composition to the joining elements, wait for the mixture to dry out, and after that we grease the additional seam.

Fifth step. We collect pipes and bends in a single drainage system. With the help of the knees, we can set the desired direction of our pipe. At the joints of pipes and elbows, we install the additional fastening clamp.
