Technical characteristics of the cranes
There are multi-way valves from brass, steel or cast iron housing and a locking device that can be of the following types:
- Ball
- Conical
- Cylindrical
The water flow regulation, depending on the gate fitment( gland or tension), can be made withthe upper part of the crane by the stuffing box itself, or from below, using a nut. A change in the flow direction occurs when water enters the hollow chute of the shutter after moving the handle under either a right angle or 180 degrees.
Application of cranes in
heating systems For a complete control of the operation of low temperature heating devices, a special regulating device is needed to mix the water from the return with the heated water that the supply pipeline conveys. This allows you to adjust the temperature in the rooms, without affecting the flow of coolant.
The maximum temperature of the heating circuit, which directly depends on the flow rate of the coolant, is easily controlled by the valve that is installed at the beginning.
Application of three-way valves
To adjust the operation of the heating system, you must install a three-way valve in front of the warm floor, which will allow the cooled heat carrier to mix with the heated by opening the bypass, which turns on the circulating pump and mixes.
By closing the bypass, for this, respectively, by twisting the handle of the valve, the heated heat carrier is transported through the pipes of the warm floors in full volume, and when the reinforcement is closed, it is guided along a small contour. The next position of the handle ensures that the main flow is fed with water from the return pipeline, and then it overcomes the full circle of the system.
Application of four-way valves
A four-way valve is used for low-temperature heating systems, and depending on the type of flaps, they can either block off flows or control their mixing.
X-like closures allow the circuit to be supplied with heated water, which, after cooling to a certain temperature, after which it is transported to a return pipe. This mode of operation is provided by the presence of automatic regulation of this type of valve.
The operation of cranes with a rotary damper is adjustable not only automatically, but also manually. Their peculiarity is the maintenance of a given temperature regime in the system without creating other circuits.
