Chemical cleaners. Their types and applications.

- Some of the boiling water is poured into the drain hole and after 15-20 minutes it is cleaned with a plunger;
- In a drain pipe to fall asleep 1 tbsp.baking soda and pour boiling water. If necessary, you can repeat it several times.
- Another mixture - baking soda and vinegar in a ratio of 1: 1.There is a violent chemical reaction with the formation of foam. The action time is about 1 hour. After that, 1 liter of boiling water is poured into the drain;
- To remove fat, an effective tool will be soda with salt, which in equal proportions are poured into the hole and filled with boiling water for at least 12 hours.
When buying such a tool, you should be very careful, because they contain quite dangerous and aggressive elements. In structure, they are powdered, granular, in the form of a gel, etc.

- Acidic.

Incorrectly used detergent can cause irreparable harm not only to your health, but also to the sewer system.
Particular care should be taken when choosing a suitable tool if you have metal pipes. After all, one of their main disadvantages is the instability to the effect of chemical stimuli, especially alkaline ones.
To date, one of the most popular and affordable for plastic pipes is the Mole cleaning agent, or similar preparations based on caustic soda. It can also be used for cleaning cast iron products, although in this case it will be less effective. This is due to the fact that cast iron is very poorly cleanable due to its porous structure. 
Alternatively, it is better to use gel-like preparations that, due to their structure, can penetrate into the roughness, completely fill them and thus eliminate all the deposits accumulated on the walls of the pipes.
Means for steel pipes. For such pipes, it is better to choose granular means that are poured into the drain hole and gradually, for a long period of time dissolves and treats the surface every time the water drains.
Cleaning of plastic pipes. A huge advantage of products made of polymers is their resistance to the effects of most acids( except hydrochloric acid) and alkalis. Therefore, for their cleaning, the assortment provided by the chemical industry enterprises is suitable. But most suitable are alkaline preparations, which ideally clean the walls of pipes and at the same time, do not harm the environment.
Recommendations for cleaning water and sewage pipes.
The cleaning process itself must be carried out with the observance of personal safety measures: 
- put on your hands rubber gloves, and on your face a gauze dressing or a special device "petal".
- if possible open the window and door indoors, or turn on the fan;
- measure the required amount of the product in a sink or toilet bowl;
- to try for some time not to approach close to these devices, as some agents are capable of secreting poisonous vapors;
After a certain time, you can again safely use the water pipe. The main thing to remember is that you should not use such "household chemicals" too often, in order to avoid violation of the integrity of the pipes.
