cesspool The main indicators of the unsatisfactory operation of the sewage system with a cesspit are:

• silted walls and bottom;
• the appearance of terribly unpleasant odors;
• organic deposits on the walls of the pit, which are difficult to clean;
• quick filling of the drain hole.

If a sinking bottom appears in your cesspit, urgent action should be taken to eliminate this problem:

1. call for a professional sewage service;
2. fill the surface with water to dilute the silt;
3. use special biological preparations intended for these purposes.

The composition of such septic tanks includes microorganisms that perfectly cope with organic deposits and at the same time eliminates the smell. There is a fast and, most importantly, safe for people, cleaning the cesspool.

Cesspool quickly overflows

Some homeowners solve the problem of quickly filling the cesspool by digging it. A new surface for draining waste is being built nearby. However, such a measure does not solve the problem of rapid filling, it is much better to connect the new and old pits. This increases the drainage space for sewage and, therefore, the degree of purification will double. It should be remembered that it is forbidden to dig a pit for sewerage in the vicinity of wells with drinking water with the current sanitary norms. This distance should not be less than 30 meters.

Thermal insulation of the cleaning system

In winter, it is possible to freeze the cesspool and the entire sewerage system as a whole. The reason for this may be insufficient insulation. If such a nuisance does happen, there is a method of rapid defrosting. However, in order to use this method, basic knowledge of the basics of electrical engineering and electrical safety is necessary, since it is supposed to use electric heating of conductor materials.

For the work on defrosting the cesspool, you will need:

• copper wires;
• metal rod length 20cm;
• capture;
• electric extension cord.

When connecting the device, special attention is paid to electrical safety. An obligatory condition is carrying out work in rubber gloves and dielectric shoes.

The system is warmed up in two ways:

1. If only the drain pipe is frozen in winter, then it is wrapped with a copper wire. The length of the conductor is calculated by the formula - 3.14 * D, where D is the diameter of the pipe. After that, the device is connected to the electrical supply, and left for several hours. Under the action of the current the tube warms up, and the drain on it will be restored. At the same time, an obligatory condition is the absence of children and animals near the works.
2. When the cesspit itself freezes, a metal rod is driven into its center, and a copper wire is connected to it. To drive an electric current to the pin, it is possible to use a gripping device with an insulated handle.

After completion of work in both cases, first turn off the voltage, and then remove the wires.
