Basic transport requirements and compliance with safety regulations.
Before proceeding with the work on the re-installation of gas pipes, you must apply with the gas service. This is done so that you have the opportunity to get advice from a qualified specialist who will conduct an inspection and determine the possibility of carrying out such work. If necessary, he will make a new project for the installation of the gas pipeline. After that, the gas service sends gas workers, who will do the whole amount of work. They should have appropriate approvals and identity cards with them.
The sequence of carrying out the transfer is as follows:
- Step one.
The first thing that needs to be done is to close the tap on the gas pipeline to prevent the gas from entering the house; - Step two.
Further it is necessary to blow the pipes to remove the gas accumulated in them; - Step Three.
And only then you can cut off the pipe section, which will change and the cut is sealed with a welding machine; - Step four.
After that, select a place on the gas duct, from which the new branch will be fed and an opening is made. Finally, a new pipe is welded to the hole, to which all gas appliances are subsequently connected.
Upon completion of the work, an acceptance certificate is drawn up, listing all types of work performed. The same data is transferred to the gas passport.
Installation of the gas pipeline to the premisesmust fulfill certain requirements:
- the distance between the water pipe and the gas pipeline must be calculated in such a way as to ensure unhindered access to these communications;
- it is forbidden to mount gas pipes above windows and doors, as well as ventilation holes;
- the distance from the gas pipeline to the rest of the communication networks( electric, television and radio broadcasting, the Internet) is calculated according to the requirements of the PUE;
- in a private home pipe laying height is 2.4 m from the floor;
- according to the requirements of SNIP installation of pipes on walls or ceiling is carried out by fixing them with special fasteners or brackets;
- pipe fastening, transporting liquefied gas, is made in an inclined state, the angle of which is not less than 3.5%;
- when crossing the gas line with other types of communications, the pipes must be wrapped with a special material, for example tarred rubber.
The outer part of the pipes must be painted to protect them from moisture and prevent the appearance of corrosion.
Features of welding.
Welding works for the installation of gas pipeline elements should be carried out with the utmost care and with the observance of all necessary rules. Welding of the gas pipe is carried out only by an experienced worker, who has an appropriate tolerance.
Two types of pipe-steel and polymer are used in the production of gas structures.
Since different material is used, the type of welding will also vary, depending on the pipe thickness, diameter and so on. This can be electric arc, argon or gas welding. Any of these technologies is suitable for use, and has its advantages and disadvantages in each case.
