How to make a sewer system for a bath with your own hands?

As already mentioned, when building a bath, it is necessary to provide a drain( drainage).Perform the work in the following order:

  • From the foundation retreat approximately 50 cm and dig a drainage well to an average depth of 1.5 meters( when the soil freezes by 60 cm).The size of the well is one meter per meter.
  • The well is covered with some material having drainage properties, for example, rubble or expanded clay. It is enough to put the mixture on 0,5 meters( slightly more than the mark of freezing ground).
  • The rest of the space is thrown over with ordinary earth and as it is tamped.

Important note! For a truly high-quality execution of work, it is necessary to comply with the technology. If the technology is not implemented, the water from the sewer pipe will not flow outward and will begin to accumulate under the floor and in the pipe itself. In the end, the floor will start to rot.

  • In the event that the soil does not absorb sewage, it is better not to make a similar well, but to build a straight flow. It is important that it is airtight, in order to avoid the spread of various odors. The water will flow down the incline from the drain.
  • It is done as follows. At an altitude of 9-12 centimeters from the bottom of the pit( direct flow), a spillway is introduced. On three sides a special plate is mounted to it. On the fourth side( below) it is fixed. The plate creates a bolt, it does not reach the bottom by about 5-6 cm. Therefore, odors do not fall into the bath.

As can be seen from the above, the external drainage system for a bath is done simply enough. But in the bathhouse there is also an internal sewage system, we'll talk about it below.

Plumbing fixtures

Internal sewerage in a private house includes a number of mandatory plumbing fixtures. In the bathhouse there is a shower room, a bathroom, a steam room and a dressing room. In the shower , water flows through the ladders. Produce them from plastic or cast iron. Their design and form can be different. To water drained to the side of the ladder, the floor is made under a slight slope.

WC provides installation of a brass sink, and connect it through a siphon. In the paired the floor is also made slightly inclined towards the side where the water intake channel is located. There are also ladders with a special hydraulic shutter. They are placed in the course of water movement and connected to a sewage pipe.

In the dresser there is a font made of wood. Water from the font merges in the usual way, both from the bathroom. By all the rules SES drains out of the bath in a drainage well or a sump. If the bath has a toilet, it is necessary to install a septic tank with activated sludge. It is he who will purify the drains.

Sewerage for a bath:

scheme How to make a sewer in a bath was described above. In total, there are 3 sewage systems:

  • Free-flowing ( the pipes of the system are located under a slope, the drains come out in a gravity way).Suitable for buildings with a height of up to 10 meters.
  • Pressure ( drains first come out by gravity in a special collector, pumped and cleaned).
  • Connected to the central sewer system ( all drains are transferred to the CC).

The scheme of each of them includes fittings with a diameter of 50 and 100 mm and non-pressure plastic thin-walled pipes, with a total thickness of about 3.5 mm. For sealing all this is connected with special seals. Make a retraction system with a minimum number of branches. The sewage collector is taken out into the discharge pipe, from which the drains enter the drainage well.
