Is ventilation necessary in the bath?

In our time, the bath begins to regain its former popularity. Today it is difficult to find a dacha on which there is no bath. They are made of log, stone and other materials. The main thing is that the bath is easily heated and kept temperature. And do you know what the ventilation system of a bath means, and what is it for?

In fact, this communication is really necessary. It helps to refresh the air, while it does not lose temperature. Especially useful is ventilation in situations where there are more than ten people in the bath. The fact is that when breathing, we absorb oxygen, which is limited in the sauna room, and exhale carbon dioxide. Over time, carbon dioxide becomes too much. It turns out a lack of oxygen, which leads to poor health, headaches, and in some cases even fainting. Establish ventilation, and these problems will disappear by themselves.

Ventilation system of bath-houses - we evaluate all the pros and cons

Like everything else in this world, ventilation has its pros and cons. The ventilation system of the sauna has a huge amount of plus and only a few cons. The most important plus is constantly clean air with a minimum amount of carbon dioxide, which increases the comfort when staying in the bath.

The second and no less significant plus is the complete absence of any odors. The fact is that at a high temperature, molecules that carry a smell strengthen it several times. This is especially noticeable for people with a sensitive sense of smell. They simply turn out, from which further location in the steam room is simply impossible.

Also, ventilation prevents the rotting of the wooden parts of your bath. It completely destroys mold and damp, which can significantly harm your health.

From minuses it is worth noting a greater fuel consumption for heating the sauna, if there is ventilation, but this increase is absolutely not critical, and in most cases simply imperceptible: more by a few logs, but more useful in dozens of times.

How to make ventilation in the bath - take it in your hands

For mounting the ventilation system you will need to perform some preparatory work for and purchase the appropriate tool. But in the very first place there is a scheme for ventilation of the bath, which you can do yourself, but you can find it on the Internet. For the installation you will need a screwdriver, a grinder, a jigsaw and a set of screwdrivers, which, if necessary, we will screw the screws. Preparatory work consists exclusively of cleaning the bath itself and removing furniture on the route of the ventilation ducts.

We pass directly to the assembly and learn how to make ventilation in the bath. Since the system consists of pipes, it is necessary to lay them under the ceiling. This is done very simply. We cut a pipe of the necessary length to us and we make a hole from the dressing room to the street. In it we insert plastic, or metal, a pipe in diameter of 20 centimeters. At once with the help of mounting foam carefully blow out all the cracks, and the remnants of foam are cut off.

The so-called head valve we have. Now we stretch out the pipe to the dressing room and the shower room. Having done this, take a drill, a drill with a diameter of 3 mm and through each meter evenly drill the holes in the pipe, which will form a square of 5x5 cm. The distance between the holes is 3-5 mm. Thus, we lay ventilation in all rooms, except for the steam room itself.

In a thermostat, ventilation is made by a separate channel, which must cut into the head tube. This is not necessary, but it is desirable. Ventilate the steam room through the corner closest to the stove with the stones. Lower the pipe along the wall and stretch straight to the oven, so that fresh air passes through the heated stones immediately and does not cool the entire steam room, but instantly acquires the desired temperature.

It is best to start a steel pipe or a square profile in the steam room. The pipe should have a diameter of 10 cm( the square profile is a section of 5x5 cm).The joints between the pipes are sealed by welding. At the ends of the pipe( profile), all the same drill holes are made on the entire surface. This completes the installation of the ventilation. It can be decorated with various objects, or you can simply paint it. As you can see, the ventilation device in the bath does not represent a big puzzle and is quite possible for any business person.

If it seems to you that the bath ventilation system does not fully cope with its task, then a small engine or a fan should be placed in the head pipe, which should suck the air from the street and disperse it in the bath. Do not do the opposite. You can also make a two-phase fan, which first defrosts all stagnant air from the bath, and then, after pressing the button, it starts sucking air from the street, filling the bath with the freshest air that warms up and delivers to you and your friends a pleasant sensation.
