Installing the acrylic bath on the bricks with your own hands.
Of course, you can immediately install a bath on the standard feet. However, it is worth considering that in ten to twelve years the legs may begin to deteriorate: in some places they will rust, they will somehow become bent. The result - the necessary bias will be lost and the water in the sewer system will not drain completely. There have been cases when the bath itself is cracked because of damage to the legs. Therefore it would be prudent to put a bath on the bricks. Moreover, for this you need a little:
- about 20 pieces of bricks( preferably red);
- cement slurry;
- metal profile;
- band sealant;
- level;
- trowel;
- hammer;
- Bulgarian;
- punch;
- self-tapping screws;
- container for kneading mortar.
The shape of the bottom of such products can be different: rectangular, oval, oblique, triangular. Therefore, the form of the masonry should be appropriate. The height of the top of the bath from the floor should not exceed 60 cm. It is also necessary to make a slope so that the water freely flows into the sewerage system. Thus, the height of the rack in the front of the bath is 17 cm, and at the back - 19 cm. The distance between the posts is from 50 to 60 cm.
There are two ways to install:
- on bricks. Bath( without legs) is installed only on bricks;
- combined installation. Support is made not only on the masonry, but also on the legs.
With the combined method, the legs must first be screwed on. And only after that count the number of bricks in accordance with the free space under the bathroom.
After the marking of the brick supports is done, make a masonry. It is important not to forget that you can not install the bath immediately on a wet cement mortar. It should dry well - at least a day. Over the dried masonry, it is possible to apply a mounting foam. And already on top to install a bath. The installation is checked for correctness of installation.
For good shrinkage on foam, water is poured into the bath. Next, the joints of the bath with the tile are sealed with tape sealant. In addition, in such cases, you can use a plumbing silicone. In addition to the above-described method, there is also a substrate method in the form of a solid brick base.
Installation of cast iron and steel bath on bricks.
This is a very heavy and more time consuming bath in the installation. Therefore, it is better to install it in a combined way. So, the bath was brought into the room and laid on its side - so it is more convenient to connect the siphon. A siphon of high quality is purchased in advance. Because when it becomes necessary to replace it, then it will be very problematic.
The dimensions of the racks, the distance between them are described above. Cast iron bath is better to support not only on two racks, but to make supports from the pillars along the perimeter of the bowl of the bath. When installing the bath on the supports, make sure that the outer edge is 0.5-1 cm higher.the edge that touches the wall. This is done so that the water does not pour on the floor.
Installation of a steel bath on bricks is done almost the same as the previous options. But there are small features. Since a steel bath can bend under the weight of water, it is better to support under the entire bottom. There is another option: to lay two piles of several welded pipes. A very important point: such baths require mandatory grounding. If the wiring is faulty, this grounding will save from an accident.
