There are several types, there are popular and not very, mainly because of their performance characteristics. For example, ceramic curb for bath for various reasons is not common, which means that you will have to spend time searching for it, and the diversity of this representative is, to put it mildly, small. Most often you can find on the shelves of building stores such types as a ribbon-border for baths or plastic.
As mentioned above, curbs for the bathroom can be made of the following materials: ceramics - a more beautiful and expensive option or plastic - cheap, popular and convenient to use. On the choice of talking there is much no sense, because it is determined only by your preference for the color scheme and the concept of the interior, so let's see how to install it.

. If you already had an old curb, but for some reason it should be changed, then separate it and gently scrape off all the dirt, wipe it with a cloth( preferably with bleach) and dry it.
After this measure the length of the bath, for this you will need a tape measure. Then measure the desired distance on the prepared curb( it is most convenient to use the plastic curb for the bathroom, it will be discussed) and cut off excess material, for example, with a metal hacksaw.
Now you need to cut the border from both sides at an angle of 45 degrees. Make sure it fits well between the walls. Press it to the right place, and the other hand, stick the paint tape on the wall, along the entire length of the curb at a height of about 2 mm. In the same way, glue the scotch underneath the bathroom. Put the newspaper( or something else that is at hand) so as not to contaminate it.

Now you need a foam gun for foam. It should be applied to the joint of the wall and bath, then pressing, very gently hold along the entire length. This is a good way if you do not know how to paste a curb on the bath. Well, now we put it on the place measured to it.
Tightly press it to the bath and the wall, it would be very good to make some emphasis, so that it was firmly fixed. Now leave it for 20 minutes, the foam should dry thoroughly and freeze.
If you did not have the opportunity to initially press the border into the wall and the bathtub, you should do it constantly, but not earlier than ten minutes after you placed it in the future place. At the end of twenty minutes, and even better half an hour, carefully remove all excess protruding along the edges of the foam. To do this you will need a regular clerical or construction knife.
It's time to seal the place where the curb of is fastened to the bath on the tile. For this procedure, it is recommended to use a white silicone sealant. Place the sealant in the construction gun, remove the neck, squeeze out a little sealant and remove this layer.
This is done in order to remove the sealant dried in the upper layers and start working with fresh. Tighten the tip back.
In order not to stain your curb for a PVC bath, glue the paint tape over it all along its length from below and from above. Using a spatula, bend the edge of the border to the outside. In the formed space between the tile and the border, tap the nozzle of the gun and start slowly squeezing out the sealant, filling all the voids.
After the seam is completely filled, it is necessary to smooth the sealant along the curb. This can be done using a rubber spatula. Now repeat the procedure for sealing the space below. Then remove the adhesive tape. Measure out the width of the bath and saw off the necessary piece. Installation of the curb on the bath will completely repeat the technology described above. Fill with sealant all joints, do not forget about the corners of the bathroom.
