Before installing a new mixer, wind the "insulation" on the thread of the pipe, protecting it from water leaks. It is better to use the so-called FSM tape, which is sold in the same shops, where the mixers. Tell the seller that it is needed to replace the mixer, and it will advise a certain width and thickness, since such tapes are of different types.
Before winding the tape, do not forget to put a shiny washer on the pipe. It serves to mask the connection point. The tape should be wound in the same direction as the nut will twist.
