Advantages and disadvantages of the

flow-through water heater Let's start with its advantages:

  • is small in size compared to a storage heater;
  • is a simpler installation;
  • the cheapness of the device.

And we will end with its shortcomings:

  • high power consumption - from 5 to 30 kW( usually from 5 to 8);
  • need for high water pressure in the system, otherwise the device will simply burn;
  • in connection with the previous reason - the impossibility of use on the upper floors of high-rise buildings.
 So, if you have a small family, you live low and there is no space for installing a storage water heater - your choice will be in favor of a flow heater.

How to install a flow-through water heater

Connecting a flow-through heater is a fairly simple procedure, and differs from mounting in a storage system.
The device simply crashes into the system in the right place - in the bathroom it is connected to the shower hose, and in the kitchen - to the water pipe.

The heater is equipped with two nozzles, output and input, in front of which a valve is installed. For installation in the bathroom, you simply need to unscrew the watering hose from the shower hose and connect the hose to the inlet pipe. Then a faucet or a shower head is connected to the outlet. It is important to know that the valves or valves are recommended to be installed at the inlet of the water heater, and not at the output.

If the quality of the water leaves much to be desired, connect the heater through a water treatment filter - this will extend its service life and improve the purity of the water at the outlet. A more reliable option for connecting a high-power heater will be the use of a cable with a cross section of 2.5 mm, which can withstand a load of up to 10 kW with a current strength of up to 40A.

 Important! Do not turn on the water heater without water supply - this will disable it. Be sure to use grounding when connecting to the network. Use an automatic fuse that operates with a current strength of at least 32 A.
