Stucco facade - modern solutions

Of course, stucco for the facade should fully meet the requirements for the elements of the facing of the building. Resistance to the effects of intense sun rays, precipitation, resistance to wind and sharp changes in temperature, mechanical strength and ease of construction - these are the main properties, without which the facade facade for a short time will turn into a rather miserable sight.

The designers of stucco are in continuous search for new materials capable of withstanding such a load. Along with traditional marble and gypsum, the façade stucco made of polyurethane, foam and other artificial materials takes its place nicely.

Polyurethane is a durable, waterproof, deformable polymer that has good adhesion to stone and wood, i.e.with materials most often used in civil engineering. The facade molding of polyurethane is externally indistinguishable from gypsum, in addition, it is elastic, does not burn and does not shrink.

Polyurethane produced a variety of architectural elements: it is the stucco moldings, and moldings, and brackets, columns with capitals and curved cornices, platbands for doors and windows and much more. It is perfectly amenable to restoration, and paints are applied to it without the use of solvents.

Stucco molding of the facade - characteristics and mounting features of the

The stucco decoration of the facade is created by joining the stucco to the wall of the building, and this work can only be performed qualitatively at certain times of the year. The fact is that architectural elements are attached to the facade with special mounting glue, after which the internal cavities between the wall and the elements of the stucco are isolated from the penetration of moisture by polyurethane glue. The drying time of each of them is not less than 12 hours, provided that the temperature of the ambient air does not fall below + 5 degrees Celsius.

Otherwise, the time for complete drying will increase substantially, and temperature differences will inevitably cause uneven polarization, as a result of which it is not possible to ensure proper anchoring strength.

Facade decor of polyurethane has a number of advantages that put it on a par with stucco from gypsum. The most significant of them are:

  • resistance to summer and winter temperature changes;
  • excellent moisture resistance;
  • is immune to most chemical compounds in the atmosphere;
  • low specific gravity;
  • possibility of working as a woodworking tool, since the density of polyurethane is comparable to the density of pine( with the exception of a very dense top layer);
  • fast assembly and production;
  • long service life.

Facade stucco from polyurethane - financial benefit without loss of beauty

In conclusion of the topic, a few words should be said about the cost of the decor from polyurethane. At a quite democratic price of the material itself, the remaining costs are also minimized. Given the serial production of stucco, there is no need to order an individual design project - it can be freely selected in the appropriate catalogs.

For the fastening of light architectural elements, expensive construction expertise is not needed. For the same reason, there is no need for additional strengthening of the walls of the building. And also reduces to a minimum the probability of peeling off the elements and dropping them onto the heads of passers-by.

The time for the decoration of the mansion of medium size by a team of 2 workers - from three to six weeks, which significantly reduces the cost of labor. And, finally, there is no need for the use of construction equipment - all work is done on the forests erected near the walls.
