What is a drain?

- The first step is to install the trough holder. The metal bracket of the gutter must be fixed during the installation of the crate to the rafters. Ideal is considered if the step of the rafters and holders is the same and equal to 60 centimeters. If the step is more than normal, then the brackets should be fixed at the same distance;
- Install the funnel. The hole size for the funnel should not be too large, otherwise the running water will spill. The hole in the chute is made a hacksaw. To install, you need to combine the fold and the chute, and bend the latch;
- Mounting is done by putting the outer groove on the bracket by styling it;
- The plug is installed;
- Connection of troughs using special connectors.
This completes the installation of the gutter. Then, the remaining parts of the structure are assembled, namely: knees, connecting pipes, a sink, clamps and plums are installed. An important step in the installation of the trough is the calculation of its slope. The slope of the gutter is calculated quite simply. If the roof of the house is standard, triangular, and its length is not more than 12 meters, it will be sufficient to install a simple chute at the end of the pipe. If, with a length of up to 12 meters, there are obstacles to linear expansion, it is necessary to install a compensating funnel. With a length of more than 12 meters, you need to mount two simple funnels and a compensator, with between them should be less than 24 meters. If the trough goes along the entire perimeter of the roof, then double compensating funnels are attached.
When calculating the slope, it is necessary to rely on the following laws:
- Slope should be of the order of 3-5 millimeters;
- The distance between brackets should not be more than 50 centimeters;
- The funnel, angle, compensator and chute plug must be 5 centimeters from the nearest bracket.
