For long-term use, any structures wear out and become unusable. The reasons for the failure of the sewage system are many - for example, the impact of chemical detergents, hot water, as well as all kinds of debris that forms clogs. When minor repairs are no longer able to ensure the performance of the drain - it requires a complete replacement. If certain rules are observed, it is not difficult to perform the installation yourself:
- in advance, ensure the slope of the sewer pipe. For this purpose it is necessary to designate the installation site, the height of communications, and also the location of all household appliances attached to it;
- do not allow depressurization of joints, as this can lead to water leakage and the appearance of an unpleasant odor;
- laying pipes in such a way that they are as much as possible hidden in the built-in furniture or behind the equipment;
- in stock it is necessary to have a sufficient number of connecting parts and the necessary tools.
Before you read the dismantling of old sewer systems, you need to carefully plan and calculate the number of necessary materials, tools and components. It is also necessary:
- to draw a detailed outline drawing of the weir;
- purchase pipes of the required diameter( when calculating the pipe meter, make a purchase with a margin);
- ensure the availability of fittings and other consumables( o-rings, tees, fixing clamps, etc.)
- in advance, consider the number of additional drainage branches that correspond to the number of connected household appliances.
Demolition of the sewage system
The replacement of the sewer pipe in the apartment begins with the dismantling of the outdated system. When starting work, be sure to turn off the hot and cold water supply and disconnect all connected household appliances.
Cut unnecessary sewer pipes with a bulgarian or metal hacksaw at a right angle and at a distance of at least 30 cm from the tee. The edges of the plastic pipes are cleaned from the barbs with sandpaper or a sharp knife. And only after that you can start installing a new design.
Installation of sewer pipes
To ensure unimpeded disposal of gutters and to prevent clogging of pipes, it is necessary to provide a slope of the structure of approximately 1 cm per meter of pipe. Of great importance is the size of polymer products, because the diameter directly depends on the volume and specificity of waste liquids. For example, a pipe connected to a sink will be larger than a dishwasher.
The joints are connected with each other using adapters, all parts must be absolutely clean and free of chipping. If everything is done correctly and consistently, the installation process itself will take no more than 3-4 hours.
The tightness of the connections is provided by the rubber seals that make up the fittings. For better fit and fastening, the gaskets are lubricated with special tools that can be purchased at the store.

The peculiarities include the aesthetic design of the paved communications. That's why everyone tries to mount the pipes in such a way that they are as unobtrusive as possible. You can do this by hiding them behind the built-in technique, in the floor or in the wall.
