Step 1 - Determine the installation method
The first thing to determine are the following:
- The device model is dependent on the digesterpanel or independent( connected or not connected to the hob)?In the first case, connect the panel and oven to a single outlet, both devices must be connected together according to the manufacturer's recommendations. An independent electric oven can be installed separately, with a gas hob on it( it's more economical).
- What is the power of the equipment? If the power is not more than 3.5 kW, it is allowed to use the connection to the outlet. Otherwise, it is recommended to remove a separate power cable from the junction box, with which you need to connect the device.
- Will the electrical wiring in the house withstand such loads? We continue the question of the power of the electric oven and determine how suitable wiring is diluted in the house. If you live in Khrushchev, while the replacement of electrical wiring in the apartment was not made, of course, the cable will not withstand current loads over 3.5 kW and will have to completely change the route of the wiring. If you have recently made repairs and are sure that the conductors of the cable will withstand more than 16A, you can not worry and go to the installation work. It should also be noted that the wiring must be grounded. It is forbidden to connect an electric oven with a plug without grounding.
Having solved all these issues and created favorable conditions for the installation of equipment, you can proceed further - directly to the installation!
Step 2 - Install the case in place
The most common use of the body of technology, built into the kitchen set, which allows you to save the interior of the kitchen and save the free space of the room. Modern furniture and equipment manufacturers have created a single standard, so that the body is ideally part of the headset specially designed for this section. All you need is to carefully install the electric oven in your place under the table top( as shown in the photo) and level it strictly according to the level.
We draw your attention to the fact that any bias will negatively reflect on the efficiency of heating. Moreover, an incorrect installation in 80% of cases is the cause of equipment failure!
Using the building level, adjust the body so that it will stand exactly in both the horizontal and vertical plane. Alignment is done by unscrewing the legs, in fact, as when installing a dishwasher. To ensure that the device does not overheat during operation and does not break prematurely, we recommend that you take into account the following requirements that will allow the electric oven to be properly installed by yourself:
- The distance from the bottom of the enclosure to the floor should be at least 5 cm, preferably 8.
- Air gap between the kitchen setand the side walls of the oven should be 5 cm.
- The distance from the rear wall must be at least 4 cm.
- Take care that an outlet is installed near the equipment( if the power does not exceed 3.5 kW).Making an extension connection is highly forbidden, unless you have made an extension cord yourself!
That's all the requirements for installing an electric oven in the kitchen. The last thing left is to connect to the mains.
Step 3 - We make wiring
Here we come to the final part of the process, in which you yourself need to connect the electric oven to the network. About how to make a connection to a standard outlet, we will not tell, everything is so obvious. If you decide to remove the wire from the distribution box, then things are a little more complicated.
The first thing to do is to turn off the power at the input to protect yourself from electric shock. If you do not have a cord for connecting to the network from the case, you need to find the terminal block from the back side and using a wire of PVS or VVG of a suitable cross-section, lead the wires into the appropriate terminals. The other end of the conductor must be connected to the lead wires( from the junction box).Be sure to observe the color coding of the wires: the phase( brown) is led to terminal L, zero( blue) to "N", ground( green) to "PE".
Before connecting the cable, make sure that it is able to withstand current loads. To do this, calculate the cable cross-section for power and current. Usually, to power an electric oven with a power of 3.5 kW, use a copper three-core cable, cross-section 2.5 mm.kv. If the load is greater, it is recommended to use a conductor with 4 mm cores.
In addition, you must protect yourself from electric shock, as well as the equipment itself from short circuits and overloads. To do this, connect the RCD and the circuit breaker, as shown in the diagram below. We already talked about how to choose an RCD and a circuit-breaker, which you are advised to read!
In the end, it is necessary to check the correct installation and connection of the electric oven and then switch on the electricity on the switchboard. If nothing sparks and the light indication is working, then you managed to connect everything correctly with your own hands!

We hope that now you know how to properly install and connect the electric oven yourself. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments or ask our experts in the category of "Q & A"!
