Door trim technology dermantinom

Door trim technology dermantinom

Run the door trim dermantinom own hands, if you know the order of work and technology, everyone can.

This method allows you not only to make the door more attractive, but also provides the opportunity to warm it and reduce the sound conduction.

It should be noted that dermantinom can be tightened both the entrance iron and wooden doors.

In both cases, the constriction is performed according to the same principle with some exceptions.

Generally, dermantin is considered to be a sufficiently strong material, and if all the work is done correctly, the upholstered door will acquire an attractive appearance for a long time.

With the help of dermantine on the door, you can create original drawings, as you can see in the photo posted in the article.

In addition, this method allows you to perform optimal insulation of both metal and wooden doors.

Having at hand all the necessary material and knowing the technology of the process, the upholstery with dermantinis is carried out quickly enough.

For more information on how to iron dermantinom your iron or wooden door, see the video, which is located below.

Principles of work execution

Use of dermantine is one of the most optimal and affordable ways to perform the insulation of the entrance door.

Such a constriction also makes it possible to lower the acoustic conductivity and improve the thermal insulation.

In addition, the door, dermatologically upholstered by hands, acquires an attractive appearance for many years.

This material is a cotton fabric that is specially coated with a layer of nitrocellulose.

Today in specialized stores you can find a huge selection of this universal material, which differs among themselves both in some properties and in color shades.

Dermantin possesses rather high strength characteristics, despite the fact that its cost is low.

Upholstery schemes

With this material it's easy to work, and during its operation it does not give any shrinkage and it is easy to clean from dirt.

Upholstery of the door with this material can be made on both sides, and this insulation will be even more effective.

The constriction of the door with this material allows to improve the overall appearance of the structure, even if it has any damages and defects.

It should be noted that this material has good moisture resistance and frost resistance, which allows it to be used in almost any conditions.

The shortcomings of this material include low fire safety, unsuitable repair and poor resistance to mechanical damage.

Meanwhile, its relatively low cost and ease of work allow you to enclose the door with new material if necessary at any time.

Bordering and warming the door with dermantine - this is currently the most cost-effective method that will help change the appearance of absolutely any door.

In the photo below, you can see some options for different upholstery doors. In addition, the video shows the very tightening of the door, which is done by oneself.

Preparatory work for

Despite the fact that the upholstery of the door leaf itself is a fairly simple process, it still has some features and nuances.

First you need to dismantle the door leaf from the hinges and put it on a flat surface.

Further small cosmetic repairs are carried out, including, and change, if necessary, accessories.

If there is an old constriction on the door, then it must also be completely removed, without forgetting to remove all the elements that can prevent the fixing of the new dermantin.

It is also necessary at the preliminary stage to prepare all the tools and material that will be required in the performance of the work.

First of all, you need the material itself, the amount of which is determined by the dimensions of the canvas, while taking a small margin for the allowance.

If the surface of the blade is made of wood, then you should stock up with nails, designed especially for the upholstery.

If the fabric upholstery is performed not only to improve its appearance, you should think about the material with which the insulation will be made.

The most common insulation of the front door is made with foam rubber, as well as any other similar materials that can be purchased in construction stores.

You can also buy a special braid, with which the canvas is originally decorated. Of the tool at hand, you should definitely have a stapler, a hammer and several types of screwdrivers.

You will also need pliers, scissors and, of course, a construction knife with a sharp blade.

In the event that the necking and warming of the metal sheet is to be carried out, it is necessary to purchase a suitable adhesive in its composition.

Prepare all the necessary material and tools, you can proceed directly to the upholstery of the blade, as shown in the video below.

Procedure of

The wooden door removed from the hinges should be laid flat on the surface, for example, on two stools.

Further along its entire surface should be evenly decomposed prepared material, which will act as a heater.

Insulation in several separate places is picked up by means of a stapler, at the same time it is necessary to leave a small area of free space in the edges of the canvas itself.

After this, the door skin is skinned with the already prepared dermantinum in advance.

The material must be spread out over the entire surface of the door with the same margin on each side. The edges of the material are carefully tucked in such a way that a small roller appears.

It should be taken into account that the edges of the dermantine should not touch when opening the door of any surface.

Overlapping method

Next, the entire surface of the material is attached to the web using special nails with round caps. The recommended step is five centimeters.

It is best to start fixing the material directly from the top of the door, gradually sinking down and watching for its stretch.

When fastening dermantine, it is necessary to carefully check that it does not roll down and does not wrinkle, and it has everywhere the same stretch.

At the final stage, the door is decorated with additional original elements, which can serve as a braid.

After this, the door can be hung on the hinges and checked for free opening and closing.

The original door covered with dermantinom can be seen on the photo, which is placed above.

Sheathing of a metal door

When working with a metal surface, sheathing is performed according to a slightly different principle, and even easier and somewhat faster.

In this case, there is no need to drive nails and fix the material with a stapler. To begin with, the canvas is also laid on a flat surface and prepared for subsequent warming and upholstery.

Also all edges along the perimeter are lubricated with a specially selected adhesive compound, after which the layer of insulation is laid exactly.

Carrying out this work, it is necessary to show the utmost care and to ensure that the heater does not roll down, and it does not have to be moved afterwards.

This insulation layer must be pressed with a certain force and allow time for it to dry, after which it is possible to trim the edges neatly.

After the insulation is dry, you can safely get down to work with dermantin. It is evenly expanded over the entire surface, cut off, and then fixed also on the glue.

In this case, first carefully garnish its upper part, then the side with the loops, the opposite side from it and then just the bottom part.

When fixing a piece of dermantin, care should be taken to ensure that no creases appear and there is no skewing.

Next, allow the time to dry the adhesive well, after which the canvas can be placed in its place, checking for opening and closing.

More information about this process is provided in the video below. Also, examples of doors covered with dermantinom can be seen in the photo, also placed below.
