If you decide to make a test lamp for checking wiring in a house where the mains voltage is 220 volts, then all you need is:
- 220V bulb
- Electriccartridge.
- Two copper single-core wires each 50 cm long.
- Styli for easy monitoring.
- Protective cover for the light bulb.
So, all you need to do is connect the wires to the socket and screw the lamp into it. As you already knew, the self-made 220 volt control lamp has a fairly simple design that allows you to assemble it yourself even to an inexperienced electrician.
To make it convenient to use the test, it is recommended to connect the ends of each wire to probes, which will be much easier to use if you need to check the voltage in the socket.
It is also recommended to additionally protect the incandescent lamp with a casing, whether it is a wire protection or a transparent plastic cap of suitable size. It is necessary to protect the lamp because they often burst when measuring and can damage a novice electrician.
