Quilling painting( flowers): master class with photo

One way to make paintings is quilling. Quilling painting in the technique can very well become a real masterpiece, because you can create a bright, exciting composition from ordinary paper. Of course, most often quilling pictures are done in the form of flowers, but this is not the only solution, because you can create images of birds, insects, animals, people, nature, etc. Beautiful are butterflies, birds on a branch, and even more interesting - a real goldfish, which then you can make wishes.

How to make a picture in the technique of quilling with your own hands

A bright and cheerful picture, made by own hands in the "quilling" technique, will decorate any house. This cute composition will surprise, delight and, undoubtedly, become a wonderful gift, made by own hands.

For the production of a flower composition you will need:

• a set of multi-colored paper strips 3 mm wide, 10 mm long and 50 cm long;
• color cardboard size 15x20cm;
• fragment of beige textured paper( in this version, non-woven, non-woven wallpaper was used);
• green paper;
• stationery knife;
• ruler;
• brush;
• scissors;
• PVA adhesive for paper;
• blue beads;
• shiny powder of red and silvery colors;
• toothpick;
• photo frame.

Stages and method of performing the work on the painting

To make a red gerbera it is necessary to glue together a white and red stripes, 25 cm each. Get one strip of 50cm length.

Then, using a toothpick or a special quilling tool, twist them into rolls with a diameter of 13-14mm with a red stripe inside.

Use tweezers to give the spiral the shape of the petal. It should end up with 12 red and white petals.

In a similar scheme of red stripes twist spirals 9mm in diameter( 13 pieces) and 7mm( 10 pieces).Also squeeze on both sides to get red petals of different sizes.

Then from the cut-off paper cut a circle with a diameter of 4cm. Inside it draw a circle with a diameter of about 15mm. This will be the core of the gerbera. To the center of the circle make an incision, with which we will form a small cone for further fixing the flower to the picture.

On the inside of the cone paste large petals. Allow to dry.

On the reverse side, in staggered order, slightly receding from the edge, glue the middle petals.

While the quilling for the picture in the quilling technique dries, you can start making the core. For this, it is necessary to glue a black strip 3 mm wide by 15 cm in length and a peach strip with a width of 10 mm and a length of 20 cm. In the latter, make incisions along the entire length.

Twist the core, fix the end with glue.

Then paste the small petals first, and then spread the spread out middle on the glue and densely drown it inside the flower.

In a similar way, make the rest of the gerbera.

To make flower buds, it is necessary to twist into dense rolls and glue bands of green and light green hues.

Then, using a thin stick or pencil, give the rolls a bowl shape.

Inside each bud, apply a smooth layer of glue and allow to dry.

Insert three buds and a thin core made of a strip 7-8 cm long into the bud.

The leaves in this composition are of two kinds. The first twist of two green stripes of different shades. Then gently evenly stretch the spiral to a diameter of 3-4cm.

Press fingers on both sides. So make the rest of the leaves.

The leaves of the second kind are made of ordinary colored paper. It is better if it is two-sided. Fold the paper in half, symmetrically cut the leaf with jags.

Then fold and fold several times with the "accordion".

Blanks to unfold, just spread out. Thus, make 4 leaves.

Now, when the main elements of the composition are made, we proceed to the formation of the background of our picture. On a cardboard of fuchsia color from above to paste a beige rectangular fragment. To make it look aesthetically pleasing, it's better to cut out the background with a clerical knife, not scissors.

Before fixing the flowers, the petals can be decorated with glitter. So that it does not crumble, you need to apply a solution of PVA in half with water on the tips. And put a powder on top with a dry brush.

Glue the gerberas, a little back from the center.

Attach flowers first to one sheet.

And then others.

Inside the leaves insert buds. Inside one of them you can paste stamens from beads.

Optionally glue the curly branches. They are also made of twisted, but well-straightened 15cm long strips.

And at the end under the flowers paste the remaining leaves.

Allow the composition to dry for 3-4 hours.

Then insert into the frame for photos and our picture in the technique of quilling is ready with your own hands!
