The Importance of Choosing

Flooring Many are puzzled by the question of what kind of flooring should be. Aesthetes usually say that the floor was "beautiful", and practical - "easy to operate", lovers of eco-style prefer "ecological compatibility".Specialists in construction determine their qualities: heat protection, resistance to impact and air noise.

But it is worthwhile to understand that every decent floor should consist of 3 parts:

  1. Reinforced concrete base - slab.
  2. Screed, which is created by gypsum-fiber sheets, which are placed in the passes between the concrete and the floor covering.
  3. Coating. It can be anything, from linoleum to parquet, as you wish.

What to install the floor correctly, you need to figure out what are the ways, how they conform to the norms of construction:

Boardwalk. It happens from the bars to which the boards are attached. The slots between the bars are filled with an insulating material or a heat insulator. This floor has many drawbacks. The first is the thickness of the board and bars in 9 cm, it eats a lot of space and, besides, the wooden floor, as an ecological product, sooner or later begins to crack and rot. Because such floors are practically not made, but instead use thermal insulation coatings, for example expanded polystyrene or even foam, and on top of the cement slurry. The second disadvantage is the installation of a concrete mixer, which, naturally, is not possible to install in the apartment. The third - to lay a covering it is possible only in a week after concrete works, and to walk on the established floors only after 2 days later final works. This coating is possible, but you should pay much attention to it and fully control the process.

Drywall as the basis of the "dry" method

Drywall sheets have 2 m of height and 0.5 m in width, made of gypsum. Technologically they are created so that the gypsum solution is dressed in a dense cardboard. This sheet freezes and is then used for dry construction.

Use it for facing walls of concrete, wood and brick. Before reinforcing the sheet, it is necessary to spread the walls with an adhesive substance, and then press down to the surface.

Disadvantages of such walls:

  • Fragile material. Smashed by the impact of a hammer or even a fist.
  • It is afraid of moisture. Loses the original shape, turning into the same dough from gypsum.

Cost-effective construction

Gypsum fiber GVL is manufactured with the addition of wood-fiber components and therefore safer and more environmentally friendly. It does not burn. The strength level is not less than the strength of fiberboard, moisture resistance at the highest level. Does not need putty.

How to work with GVL?

  1. From an old floor covering it is necessary to get rid.
  2. Clean the concrete cover of debris.
  3. The gap should be filled with grout.
  4. Clean the surface again.
  5. Use heat insulators and heaters( there are zasypnye, polystyrene foam and fibrous). They can be chosen depending on your monetary capacity and the principle of warming. The European method of thermal insulation is also mineral wool.

Principle of operation with

GVL Before starting work, it is necessary to pay attention to the following:

  1. For floors there are special formats of sheets of GVL, 1.2 m in size and 12 mm in thickness. The size is rare, but convenient for styling. Sheets are divided into: moisture resistant( covered with a solution resistant to moisture) and not moisture resistant.
  2. Optimum quality of dry floors is represented by Knauf, in Russia several factories produce products under this logo.
  3. The cutting of sheets should be carried out only by a specialist. At the same time, the volumes of the room, the gaps on the edge band, the width of the mineral wool along the perimeter of the room are taken into account.
  4. Calculate the height of the floor, taking into account the thickness of the thermal insulation, which should be at least 20 mm. It is important that it is as tight as possible. To this we need to add 10 mm of drywall. The height of the floor usually rises by 3-4 cm.
  5. It is necessary to lay polyethylene film on the concrete base, so that it acts as a moisture permeable barrier. Make sure that experts put it on the concrete.

Important point: monitor compliance with the technology and the actions of workers if you are not doing the process yourself. Every slightest non-observance of the technology will quickly be affected during operation.
