Barbecue from metal with own hands

How sometimes you want to make a home picnic and cook meals at the stake. But this requires special devices - barbecue or barbecue, the presence of which not everyone can boast. Despair is not necessary, because with the help of this article you can learn how to make a barbecue made of metal with your own hands.

Materials

The main material for a barbecue will be a metal barrel used. It is desirable that it was food, then there will be less trouble when cleaning it. In the arrangement of the barrel you will need:

• pipe for the chimney;
• brackets;
• loops;
• ground, paint.

To install it, you will need a special design, suitable for:

• pipes of small diameter( up to 50 mm) 6 pieces, for example, former fence supports;
• boards or plywood. If the barbecue will be constantly, under the open sky, it is better to choose the boards.

Tools

Tools will be needed:

• Bulgarian;
• drill and drill bits for metal and wood;
• hacksaw;
• measuring tape;
• bolts, clamps;
• keys.

Step-by-step instruction for making a barbecue with a metal chimney

In the side of the barrel, a bulgarian, you need to cut a hole.

Then you need to find 6 pipes.

If the pipes are concreted, cut off this part of the bulgarian. Four pipes will serve as legs.

Connect each pair of legs with a pipe using bolts.

It will also serve as a side barrel retainer. The length of the pipe determines the length of the barrel. So, we will have two sections. Each will have two legs and a side connecting pipe.

To connect two sections to each other, you need boards. In total, they need five pieces of small width( 15-20 cm).Four boards will fix the legs( two on each side).Two of them will be fixed at the bottom of the legs( 5-10 cm from the ground), the other two just above the middle of the height of the legs.

Drill two holes in each board with a diameter equal to the diameter of the pipes for the legs. We pass two legs into the holes of the board, on the one hand, the same way we do the other side. Then put the metal frame legs with the top and install the fasteners for the boards at the same height. This can be bolted clamps. Then we put on the remaining two boards and for them we also fix the clamps. Next, put the frame on the legs. The boards lie on the yokes, take their position and do not allow the legs to separate in different directions.

The fifth board connects the boards on the upper tier, thereby completely fixing the frame. Now the whole structure has gained sufficient strength. We install a barrel on it.

We will settle the barrel. To fix the grate inside the barrel, fix the brackets. There are two brackets on each side of the grate. You can do it with bolts.

That part of the barrel you cut out will serve as a barbecue lid. Using the hinges, attach the lid to the barrel. When closing, the lid will rest against the brackets and do not fall inward. Also, you can set the brackets to further hold the closed cover.

Then the barrel needs to be rinsed well.

Then install the handle for the cover. The material can be an ordinary wooden handle for a shovel.

Drill the ventilation holes and install the shutters.
