The foundation columnar tape as a solution for adverse sites

When should such a foundation be made?

This type is suitable in places with deep freezing of the ground, when the ribbon foundation with a large depth becomes too expensive, and shallow not suitable for various reasons. In this case, the device columnar-tape foundation is the best option. It also needs to be mounted on slopes. With this type of foundation, the load is transferred through poles, which are set 200 mm below the freezing level. This depth has a sufficiently compacted soil, and it does not swell during frosts, which does not allow the foundation to rise.

The main work in the construction of such a foundation is associated with drilling wells for poles. Manual work will take about two hours for each column, so it is recommended to use drill TISE .Such a drill makes holes with an expansion of the hole at the bottom, which makes it possible to fix the pole more reliably. In particular, the expansion does not allow to push the column out of the ground.

Note! The depth of the well should be determined by the qualitative indices of the soil and the depth of its freezing.

We lay foundation pillar-tape

Before starting construction, the site is cleared of debris, grass and obstructing objects. Further, the marking of the plot under the foundation is done. To check the angles for a correspondence at 90 degrees, the diagonals are measured. If there are irregularities, they should be corrected by rearrangement of pegs with a rope. After the marking, a trench 40 cm deep and 30-40 cm wide is perforated along the perimeter. This trench further allows you to make a foundation in weight, or with a claydite or sand pillow.

Next on the perimeter, starting from the corners, holes are made to the depth of freezing of the soil, it is about 160-180 centimeters. The diameter of the well is 20-30 centimeters, and the interval between them should be two meters. Ruberoid pipes are inserted into the wells to protect the pillars from moisture, and billets for poles. Blanks are made from welded armatures.

After all is ready, the blanks need to be tied together with the armature. The result is a belt from the reinforcement. Further, the perimeter is surrounded by a formwork. It is mounted from boards, plywood or fiberboard. In order to be easy to remove, the formwork should be lubricated with engine oil. Do it must be as high as possible, because this will depend on the reliability of the entire foundation. The final stage is the pouring of the formwork with concrete. For this you can use both the finished mixture and make it yourself. Begin construction on the foundation can be in 3-6 months.

Important nuances

The pillar foundation is made from a variety of materials:

  • Quarry stone is ideal for stone pillars;
  • The highest durability is provided by a heavy-duty monolithic reinforced concrete base;
  • To make the foundation as quickly as possible, you can use ready-made reinforced concrete blocks or just concrete;
  • Concrete B15-B25 is used for concrete poles;
  • You can also use pipes that are filled with a mixture of concrete.

In order to correctly choose the depth of foundation laying, it is necessary to know the type of soil in the construction site. So, if a site has a marshy soil, then it must be partially, or better completely, replaced. The best basis is sand, since it has a high bearing capacity and water flow. In addition, groundwater should be taken into account. If they are located high enough, then it is necessary to do drainage or waterproofing.

Important! Without taking into account the nature of the soil, a reliable and qualitative foundation can not be built.
